They issued you the card and PIN in store?

Not a very secure method is it? Hope no one was watching so they don't get mugged!

    Yes they did.

I walked in asked to open and account they asked have you a signed debit card, yes, completed details including choosing the colour of the credit card.
Last step credit check completed and ok a colleague created the card and observed me signing it using my signed debit card . I was given the card asked to input a pin number twice and given the application card shook hands and left with a live ready to use card.

I visited another department to view a range of products and was helped very professionally by another john Lewis assistant.

On my way through the store i was looking for the managers office to leave very positive feedback about my experience. A young lady at a counter smiled at me and offered me a luxury chocolate to sample.
I asked he how I could get positive feedback to the managers office and she called a department manager who logged onto a computer took my details and sent the feedback to the dept managers of the assistant and at my insistence to the Store Manager.
It was the Nottingham Victoria centre branch of john Lewis

You can just click unsubscribe on any emails you receive which will stop the emails arriving.

You can also call up, or next time Tesco calls you you can ask them to unsubscribe you.

Information found on the Tesco Bank Website under Privacy, then click the sending marketing information.
    https://www.tescobank.com/sec/help/privacy-and-cookies/

One less thing for you to worry about when you click unsubscribe or call them up, or just delete, which is probably the best/quickist option as you dont have to give feedback if you don't want to.
That said one click of unsubscribe is also just as quick as the delete button.

Emails are used for account balance alerts It’s the unknown email addresses from a market research company who have been given my details by Tesco with a click to complete the survey I dont want and I have to call in to Tesco to stop that I want to stop.

This gives me information only. When I log on to the control panel I am unable to stop the unknown emails. I have to call in To Tesco Credit Card.

So you click on unsubscribe to an email address you don’t know from a sender you don’t know and you think that stops them? Never give a potential fraudster anything to hang their hat on
