Oooh, my thanks button is behaving oddly!
Thank you for the good wishes Redruby and Essexgirl, I am glad I don't have to go back about the lump anymore! I was told in the summer that the biopsy was benign but they were not sure what had caused it. Now they say it was probably to do with the RA so nothing to worry about.
Had a quick phone call from OM, he got to Scotland safely - apparently it is Very cold now and was icy earlier on. His hire car was upgraded (the one he ordered was not available) so he is taking MiL to do her heavy shopping in style.
My mum has made me a pair of OS magnetic bracelets (magnetic beads + spacers from an old necklace) and I am very impressed, as my thumbs are much more mobile with them on. You should see me hit the space bar!!! Couldn't get on with the copper bracelet, it just turned me green.
Off to pay a bill and enjoy the sunshine while it is there.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Hope all are well today, really cold here, wonder if this means that we will have a lovely cold winter rather than a horrible wet mild onehope so!! Love it when it's cold and crisp.

Afternoon all
Lovely and cold here today - I do love this time of year.
Had a great day at legoland yesterday - was sunny and cold and the kids loved it - it was heaving though - busier than when I've been in the summer.
Been very good and got loads of packing done today - we get the keys to the new house on the 2nd so it's full steam ahead.
DD's did ask for a film/fire/hot choccy time so we watched a film earlier whilst having lunch - fire's just smouldering away so I've put the airer in front to get the washing dry the OS way.
Just going to tackle the computer desk and get the filing up to date and chuck all the bits that DH thinks we need to save
Dh will be home tonight - then he's off to a posh luuvies lunch at RADA tomorrow - DD1 has already got her autograph book out for him to take - not sure he's going to be too keen on the purple sparkly effect though :rotfl:
Jacket potatoes and veg for tea - need to start using up all the odd bits in the freezer so starting with a medley of frozen veg, topped with cheese.
Hope you all have a great afternoon - I'm off to play with bubble wrap!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hello everyone!
Went out yesterday to Duxford Air Museum, had a lovely day. Took kids on Concorde - ah such a shame that retired! that was one thing I really wanted to do in life:o ! They also had a spitfire flying around and a few other planes. There's so much to see there! and we took a picnic lunch. (kids under 16 are free entry btw)
Today we took the kids to see "Ratatouille" (orange wednesday so very OS)!
It was really good! I saw a trailer whilst there that "Jungle Book" is out on DVD 5th Nov - cant wait to get that!:D
So nothing much OS going on indoors, but place is pretty tidy and I did the ironing sunday! Just need to catch up on the emails and on here now!!!:D

Afternoon all,
N9eav - If you took 1p to a scrap merchant now, they would give you 2p for it, the price of scrap is through the roof now!!!
Hester - When I first passed my driving test, I navigated myself all the way up to Ikea in Bristol (including The Junction Of Death - where the M5 joins the M4)...then got lost in the car park :rotfl:
We are going up to Salisbury on Friday til Monday to do a job for my ex-bosses parents. Staying in a little self catering cottage, so that will be lovely.
I registered with a couple of agencys today, but not sure if they will be able to give me any work as I don't have a passport .
Not a lot going on here today, just general tidying etc
OH YEAH - we had a water leak on Sunday night - OH was digging in the garden and hit a water pipe!!!! It was only about 10cm in the ground . So, water p***ing everywhere, we didn't know where the stopcock was, landlord is out, no other neighbours around ARGH. We had to go to the end of our lane and turn the whole farms water supply off in the end. OH raced round to his plumber friends who miraculously had a temporary repair kit which fixed it until we could get the part on Monday. Now we have a major misson to dig a suitable size trench to sink the water pipe further down. What fun
Anyway, have a good evening all :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
