Morning Chums, and thank you to all who have been PM'ing me.:A I am sorry I haven't been around for awhile, as I have not been feeling too well, and my arm is still very stiff, and it takes me forever to type anything as I have to use one finger of my left hand.

I do read through the postings though, and it seems that you are all being very busy and sorting out everything for Christmas. My DD has been buying my presents for me, and bringing them home so I only have to wrap them up. I am still not able to drive yet but I hoping to start in November .Where has this year gone to I wonder.its true the older you get the quicker it goes.Only 9 weeks till Christmas and I have 6 family birthdays before then:eek: You all seem so industrious compared to me,I seem to have done nothing but read for the last month.Good job I enjoy it. I miss going to college though, and my knitting which has been put on hold for a little while. I can't believe how much my life has changed in the last 4 months , still onwards and upwards .I am looking forward to the spring and Easter when hopefully all my treatment will be over. I am planning to take my two DD's for a long week-end away as a treat next year. The Breast Care nurses have been brilliant and they say that it helps to plan things you want to do when you are feeling better, so here is my plan (fingers crossed)

Take said smashing DD's away for a few days

    Emulsion my new conservatory

Watch my newly-sown bulbs that I have got my DD to plant all come up.(She has put around 100 different ones in pots all over the garden) as I had it half laid to patio earlier this year so I wouldn't have too much garden to look after.

Go down to visit my brother in his house in France for a few weeks. Its almost a year since I have seen him, and nearer to 6 since I visited him. Lifes too short to waste putting things off, no one knows that more than me.

Re-enrol in college, and carry on with my Uni course.

Drive up to Scotland to see some relatives that I haven't seen for ages and try to sort out my Dad's family tree for them.I have got back to around 1695, and keep saying I must sort it all out cronologically(sp)

Start swimming again, as I have had to stop that for awhile.

Finish my scrapbook that I started from when I visited the U.S. earlier this year.

That should keep me going for a bit I think.

Thank goodness I thought to fill my freezer with lots of stuff before my op. I have been virtually living out of it for the last 6 weeks .
I am watching the site daily, although I don't post as much. Being stuck indoors means that my computer is my little window on the world, and at the moment I just sit here and look in on what everyones up to. So I am lurking around .
    take care of yourselves everyone
    love from JackieO:beer: :D :A

    morning all.

i've no idea what the weather like outside as i'm still snuggled in bed using my lappy.

i'm starving had a tooth out yesterday. took over an hour they had to drill it out as it wouldn't budge. now bear in mind i am petridfied of the dentist. i always think i will chock and die. i had to go on my own and go through that. so i think i did very very well. did think about legging it, but knew if i did i'd only have to come back another time. feel like i been punched tho , so prob porriage for brekkie,

got some washign to do. blitz lounge yesterday so only need to flick around there. gonna have another easy day i think. try and write a meal planner.

this evening i have a resident meeting. were trying to come up with ideas on how to save the commiunity centre. as the people who were running it , didn't pay any bill's., gave money to whoever asked for it , didn't accoutn for anything, so now the commiunity centre broke and we might loose it. so that will be interesting . were hoping tonight to also vote in new people to run it. i was asked to be the manager. but i not sure i have time with a new baby on the way. but i'm certainly willing to help out , to keep it going.

hope everyone has a good day.

  • Good morning everyone, it is a very damp, cold and foggy morning and really makes me feel like staying in all day but I have promised to take Mum to a nearby market later, hopefully by then the fog will have lifted. I also have night school tonight.

I have been trying to empty the freezer for all the xmas food I will be buying/making soon but each time I go shopping I come back with some more reduced foods, today I will go through the freezer and write menus and hopefully by the end of ??? November I will have room for the turkey. I must be strict with myself and not go near the reduced food section, I find it impossible to walk away from the bargain section without buying anything!

I am really enjoying my week off work, it is bliss wakening up in the morning and not having to rush to work. The time just flies by though.

Dinner tonight will be chilli con carni (HM from the freezer), rice and salad.

Have a good day everyone :D

Rushing now to sort out some soup (not home-made) for lunch as it is freezing here, I have salad in the fridge, but it's far too cold for that today

Will catch up with everything later, hope everyone has a good day x
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Morning all
Hubby has a day's work locally today so I drove him to work & I got home without getting lost, which is an achievement for me as I can get lost in a car park!
Hugs to JackieO & PP nice to see you both posting again. I do admire your positive attitudes.
Happy memories DLB, sometimes all four of my kids had friends to sleepover & once I had 15 in the house overnight, can't remember why, but is seemed a good idea at the time.
I've just been given four large pots for the garden, I'm not sure what plants to put in them, I need to find something cheap I'll probably get bulbs & winter flowering pansy.
I'm meeting a friend for lunch today so we will have a good old natter, but first I need to clean out Thumper & Ogden & finish the bags I was making yesterday.
Mrs Mix, with a sprained ankle & a sore arm, I'm not sure you should be lifting sofa's
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

    Good Morning All

Well - I took the plunge and went to vist my dad & step-mum y-day, armed with flowers & wine for their anniversary. The welcome I received, wasn't very welcoming. I asked SM for a hug, and asked are we friends? She replied "think so" - made me feel sooooo much better! It was icy, but ok average kind of visit, so who knows where it's going to lead now. They never responded to the letter I sent. I Was upset to see, that a photo they have/had of me in my Military Uniform, and pictures of my kids, are no where in sight. But yet, got her kids/grandkids pics up!!! Is that me just being funny! or jealous!

Still got washing to do, load on now
    Curry for tea with samosa's.

    N9eav - enjoy work!
stressedout mum - keep the chocs! or at least pass them on to me!
Aussielass - I wander where these mobile hairdressers get their prices from! Mine was never the same each month when I used to have one!
Amie - did you remember keys this time?
(((hugs))) to Jackie & PenPin glad to see you both back with us!

Anyway, must dash & get ready for work
    Have a great day
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning all!

Got the green light from the hospital yesterday (the lump/ biopsy) so went out to celebrate. Chose 'China China' as it is an all you can eat buffet, so very OS...:p sat and demolished duck pancakes for ages... well, wanted my money's worth
OM and DS1 + DS2 were my (in)voluntary waiters as I can't grip the plates.

Called in at Sainsbury's to vulture the reduced reductions and got £2.18 worth of Chardonnay carrots for 20p, and some french sticks for 20p each. Soup with garlic bread tonight!

OM got up at 4am to fly to Scotland to spend a few days with MiL. She is getting more peculiar IMO, but maybe I am biased. Her latest was to go to the Estate Agents to complain that her neighbour's house 'For Sale' advert did not say that he was having work done on his roof :confused::confused:
OM thought that was OK, but I just hope the neighbour did! In a shared house (split into maisonettes) that sort of thing leads to very bad feelings.

Plumduff I am following your example, I found a lot of summer lollies yesterday, so had to bin them!

    Jackie O Get well soon!

Pen Pin here's to a restful time!

JCR ouch!! hope it settles down soon

MRSMICAWBER I can't manage the hoover but I shall follow your example by dusting and tidying.

Off to press the thanks button a lot!

    Have agreat OS day all.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
