My thanks button won't work so please everyone consider yourselves thanked.

Need to make pea soup in the slow cookerand get more paint from Tesco so DD can finish painting her bedroom.

Washing machine is on and it really cold this morning so not looking forward to hanging it outside.

Lovely to hear from JackieO and that penny pincher is feeling a bit better
    .

Have ordered some books and cosmetics from online sites for Christmas for DDs but need to get stuff for DH and make hampers for elderly relatives.

    Hugs to all

Morning all...............(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one and welcome back Jackie O good to see you posting again........

Its a bright bbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold morning, OH has just gone out to take some papers for a bowls mate.....we have a coffee morning downstairs in the lounge and I have my Tesco order coming between 1 and 3pm, then we have the dreaded trip to the airport to collect my friend.

I made a lemon drizzle cake last night to have this afternoon, I am cooking supper at lunch time today........not my favourite occupation, I prefer to eat in the evening.

Right thats it for now, I am going to put a load in the washers before I go for coffee, by the time we are ready to come back upstairs it should be ready for the dryer.

Mr grumps today.. got home last night and rayburn had gone out:mad: Major operation to get it going again .. now I think somethings wrong with water system as it keeps making weird noises. Last night was like Vesuvius erupting every 30 mins or so - the tank is boiling up and then refilling, the radiator/pipes are shaking....its like something out of a horror movie. Its great trying to get to sleep through that!

Now in work trying to concentrate ( not) and deffo not really with it.

    Ho hum.

    good wishes to all

    Morning everyone :hello: :hello:

Jackie - lovely to see you posting missed ya :kisses3: by the way if you fancy a stop off on your way to Scotland then Warrington is just about perfect.

Ellie and chalky - :D

Things are still quite mad in the Nelski household atm - Current male count is 4 so I clumsily managed to lose 2 yesterday :rotfl: but I do have a lovely new fence for the winter now. Having a real hoot with the guys that are left now - they are doing the kitchen and the hall stairs landing decorating and if you remember the famous "legs" man (the one who wears shorts despite it being icy cold here today  :blushing: ) well yesterday one of the other guys took me a picture of him hoovering up the stripped wallpaper - nice legs and domesticated its enough to make a girl feel a little faint!! I am trying to get it texted to my phone then I can show you:D think you will appreciate it:rotfl:

Other news - I finally got the car back - 6 weeks for a bump seemed a bit ott to me but it was lovely to be driving it again after suffering an old mans courtesy car for all this time:rolleyes:
Tonight I am picking my god daughter up and taking her for some tea for her birthday so thats another night when the cooker will stay clean:T :o:D

Right best go and put the kettle on I suppose - those legs need rehydrating

    Hugs to all
    Nels xxxx

I am now being serenaded Cherish by 2 of them!!!! bless Smooth FM:rotfl: :T

    Congrats to Luxor

Apologies - my thanks button isnt working either at the moment.

Gad a lie in today which is unsual then have had loads of work calls so nothing done yet and am still in my pj's  .

Luckily we had planned a stay in day anyway. Plan is jump in the shower in a min, clean kitchen and then lock myself in the playroom until the ironing basket is empty. Actually not too much in there so that is definately achievable. After that will be doing some horrible filing in my office.

Had some leftover new pots from dinner last night so they will be friend with some bacon and eggs for tea tonight - kids favourite. ALso think will make a loaf of bread to go with.

Really really want to get a couple of things on ebay today or at least get everything ready to list on Saturday. Had no luck job hunting so far so plan to make as much from ebay as possible. Deffo have lots to sell.

Best get off now - hate not being dressed at this time!

    Have a great day.

Morning all. I had started a post hours ago but got interrupted.

First of all, thank you all once again for your kind thoughts and wishes for my MIL. She has been moved to a general ward - there's nothing more they can do for her. She can't breathe without the ventilator and the brain stem tests didn't give much hope. My BIL has flown out there this morning, so we are waiting to hear from him. DH's sister has been out there since the day after MIL was taken to hospital and she must be worn out; she's had to see her Mum in the worst of situations, look after her Dad who has really crumpled, keep everyone up to date, talk to the doctors and keep a brave face on, so BIL will at least be able to take some of the burden from her.

As I keep saying to them - where there's life, there's hope. Not much else to say, really, but your kind thoughts have made such a difference.

JACKIEO - lovely to hear from you! So glad you are posting again.

MRSMIX - hope you have a better day today.

JCR - well done on being so brave!

CRAZY - you should be proud of yourself for making the effort to visit them. I think it's wonderful.

Well, the BM has just finished and it's making me hungry. Think I'll do some soup to go with it for lunch. Have made a salad for dinner and just bought some strawberries for pudding.

I've had a request from a friend in France for 30 13amp fuses and 10 packets of Rizla cigarette papers (liquorice flavour, apparently - sounds disgusting!) and I've just been out to buy them so they will be packed off this afternoon. We should have been going to her Halloween Party in November but have had to cancel because DH will probably be in Cyprus that week. We usually take loads of stuff over for friends - Marmite, Brown sauce, cream, PG Tips and so on. The theme for the party (fancy dress) is cowboys and Indians and we were going to take some cap-guns over, because they only do child-sized ones in France so, I've bought the guns but don't think it's a good idea to send them through the post!

Anyway, cold here but sunny - washing is on the line. I'm going to hate it when we can't hang it outside any more. The clocks change this weekend so that won't help, will it? My DH always has a moan about the darker evenings. I don't really mind the winter; I think as long as you have a warm house, food in the cupboards and Christmas to look forward to, it's quite a nice time of year. If we didn't have winter, the spring wouldn't be so welcome!

Well, see you all later. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
