Using up Ready Brek...
Comments
-
The Cheap Family Recipe site uses ready brek (or cheap supermarket brand) in loads of its recipes.
Here's a link http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/index.html
BTW how do I do a link so that instead of the site address appearing I can type in 'here' or 'cheap family recipes'?
I vaguely remember the link box would come up with a line for the words you want to appear and another line for the address but now it just comes with a line for the address. I'm clicking on the icon in the header of the reply box (not the quick reply).0 -
you type the words Here It Is or whatever you want, highlight them and insert the link... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I have been a long time lurker but my first post on the old style board.
I have a box of normal ready brek my 11 month old wont eat (recommended in a weaning class) . Husband and I had lots of this growing up so cant face the thought of eating it but it may come to that.
But I wondered if there was any thing I could make before I have to do this?
thank in advance0 -
Is it the texture your little one doesn't like, or the taste? My DD always refused porridge when she was that age until I mashed up banana in it, and then it suddenly became her absolute favourite.Team Pink! Baby girl due 25/5/140

I think its the texture , I tried mashing banana into it but he still wont take which is odd - he likes his food.0

Could you use it instead of flour in a crumble topping?0

Try adding a spoonful of jam, honey or chocolate spread and mix it in well.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
