Basically it says that Beavis can't apply if payment was made / human error.
I'd send HX a letter along those lines and invite them to drop the case or pay your costs if they proceed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Yep pop that letter in the same envelope (two separate letters).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks to everyone for the above advice, looks like I've got a busy week ahead. Ibcus, I intend to print the second newspaper artical and send it to HX's data controller with my complaint about the inaccuracies of their data handling systems. Watch this space!0

Hi, just completing AOS on line, do I tick box contesting jurisdiction? Many thanks
Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2 which explains how to complete the AOS and which boxes to tick (or not).
Bargepole (the author) spent a lot of his own time to provide professional guidance in that part of the sticky so regulars don't have to keep answering the same question from the hundreds going through the same process as you every year.
It also provides newbies with an 'at hand' reference to guide them through their entire journey from LBC to the court hearing. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
