Letter Before Claim - UKPPO
Comments

Hi all,
@Coupon-Mad, I've had an email from the letting agent today stating they're unable to give me a reference regarding my time spent there - bit of a bummer but onwards on upwards! I'm still waiting for the WS from UKPPO, should they usually be taking this long?
In terms of exhibiting evidence and what not, I've got some example documents so I'm using those as a guideline, would it be worthwhile linking to my evidence on here?
Also, when it comes to sending off the WS to both UKPPO and the courts, is it better to both email and send a paper copy?
Thank you!0 -
Hi everyone,
So i've received the WS from UKPPO.
Here is the scan of the document. Page 6 is particularly interesting. I've also circled an error in a comment that I've been quoted on from correspondence with UKPPO on page 4.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eRTVb3ecpPFduiTS2s1Wuead-usBkPAU/view?usp=sharing
In terms of evidence they intend to rely on, they've included:
B - a copy of the contract with the land owner
C - signage from the area in question.
D + E - pictures of each supposed contravention, with undisclosed locations.
F - a huge 15 page album of seemingly random shots of signage from the location
G - correspondence via email
H - transcripts from comments on this particular forum post.
I - a copy of the interpretations act 1978.
It does look like they have crawled this forum before even bothering to finalise their own WS (dated and signed the 7th of June), based purely on assistance from this particular forum post. Each of their points seemingly follow points from my incomplete WS posted on here.
Thanks for all your assistance so far!0 -

What do you think your stance would be?
This is a public site. They have every right to use the informaiton you choose to disclose to form their claim against you.0 -
Who cares if Karen did read this forum?
That WS is full of grammatical errors (twice I saw ''as'' instead of ''has'') and she couldn't even be bothered to capitalise the initials of the POFA.
She seems not to be able to add up beyond number 8 as she's not bothered to number her paragraphs beyond page 3 (number 8) making it very difficult for you to refer to her drivel.
She wants £80 in interest; is she having a laugh? They sit on a case for two years and think their scam can be rewarded at 8%pa due to their own choice to delay it!
She says 'we have pictures of the car parked'. Errr, no you don't, you have pics taken in a VERY rushed fashion in seconds. And the she gives some old story about people when unloading 'normally they see the warden' (!!!!!!, that's not a WS!). Clearly whoever was unloading didn't see the ticketer because that person was - you are suggesting - ghost ticketing then running away like the cowards PPCs are.
As for admitting that they made up the £60 'debt collection' add-ons, as if that's OK, it's pathetic. STOP scamming people by asking for sixty quid on top then! You can't just backtrack once sussed in a court WS, and because it's Manchester court who hate PPC scams!
Honestly what a waste of ink. Easy to tear into that rubbish! Don't remove anything from your WS, but now add to it with your observations and get the WS & evidence in with the court (in person in a file) and by email to the chancers, BEFORE 4pm today.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Hi Coupon-Mad,
I sent my WS off with all evidence filed and included yesterday evening - it was marked as signed for at 9:53am to the courts, and 6:33am to UKPPO.
I spent as much time as possible studying their WS, and you're right - lots of grammatical and spelling errors, and most importantly, the location of the supposed contraventions is an entirely different car park to the one on the Statement of Balances and PoC!!!! Not only that, but quoting me incorrectly on correspondence to shape a sentence in their favour seems a very risky move indeed.
One more thing, is their inability to differentiate a number ZERO from a letter 'O'. The claim number on top of their WS, doesn't actually exist.
Looking forward to the next steps.0 -
