All this is very confusing for someone new.
Do not confuse a REAL solicitor with Gladstones ?
Gladstones solicitors set up a scam called the IPC/IAS which was designed for their members to scam and extort money from people
Gladstones is also the most incompetent solicitor operating in the UK and they will use all sorts of trickery to extort money from you
They are asking you to pay DRP, all part of the scam because DRP are just sewer living morons with no clout whatsoever
If this a real LBC, did they send you proof of their claim, pictures costs etc and did they send you forms to complete ?????
There is a legal protocol they must follow.
What did you receive ??????0 -
ps:- I dont agree with beamer on this occasion as gladrags appear to have ticked all the LoC boxes (30 days notice, financial forms link , reference starting with a 1 , golf club address etc) - so send them a generic LoC rebuttal
Problem is Red, why are they asking the OP to pay DRP ?0 -
yes , I know, but on balance of what was reported I believe its a gladrags LBC, not a drpl bog paper demand
you know yourself that gladrags mess up, so incorrect alterations to templates and human error etc
they have put too much into it appearing to be an LBC for me to think any different
plus if it isnt an LBC, then no harm done0 -

OK, well the OP said ... It says DRP Reference which begins with a 4
So let's assume it is a real one with the usual Gladstones mess up.
Then the OP should rebut just in case, it might be good for the OP to upload a copy of the letter0 -

It is also says Yours sincerely Gladstone Solicitors. The address at the bottom is from The Terrace, High Legh Park Gold Club in Knutsford.
At the very end it says please now contact our client's agent, DRP, in order to discuss a payment proposal... & gives what it says is DRP payment line phone number.
It is telling me I have 30 days to pay or reply.
I feel quite panicked
seems clear enough to me that GLADRAGS sent it , and no our client may blah blah , no beating around the bush hence my replies (even though we know DRPL have been involved and still are)
they also added a link to those financial forms (as usual)
as I said , rebutting it does no harm, but failure to do so could be an error by the OP, so belt and baces approach, SAR + LBC rebuttal, to be sure0 -
Thanks, I will do that with copy of my V5C to prove my ownership.
Unfortunately, this apparently relates to a different parking instance in January.
I believe trouble with the car park in question around that time period is not uncommon as it changed companies numerous times and the rules changed on multiple occasions, at one point there was a machine to get a free ticket for so long and the permitted time changed on numerous occasions within a short period.
Not being the driver I am unsure what the rules would have been at this time or what the signage would have been like but having spoken to a member of B&M staff as the person who received a notice at a later stage I was told the manager and the store couldn't do anything and would not get involved as they don't own the car park.
What rebuttal letter would I need to do to gladstones? Would it be the same as the early appeal letter in the newbies thread?0 -

Yes, I agree .... OP you know what to do0 -
it would be a rebuttal letter that is based on all the recent ones sent to gladrags and b w legal etc , the one that tells them to put it on hold and the defendant denies the alleged debt
only look at post #2 of that NEWBIES thread, not post #1 , the time to appeal is long goneAs well as the SAR to the parking firm's Data Protection Officer (DPO), also write a letter - by email to Gladstones or BW Legal or directly to whoever the PPC is, if they are not using a solicitor. Your letter can state that you have sent their client a SAR and so you require a restriction of data processing and the case should be put 'on hold'. Confirm your correct 'address for service' (especially if you've moved and they've traced you & might revert back to an old address).
This is an EASY formal letter to write - it will not stop most claims but it looks better to respond. Gladstones & BW Legal will refuse. Please don't post about that...all as expected.
the idea of the SAR is to get all that information so you are fully aware of the evidence and allegations etc
I am surprised if this is SMART, I would have thought it was a different company that relies on the bully boy tactics of GLADRAGS0 -
In that situation, every poster here then complains to the retail park owners. You only have to Google the retail park. This could have been cancelled months ago.Not being the driver I am unsure what the rules would have been at this time or what the signage would have been like but having spoken to a member of B&M staff as the person who received a notice at a later stage I was told the manager and the store couldn't do anything and would not get involved as they don't own the car park.
People here don't just say ''oh, alright, then'' and not bother to complain further.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
