Am I being scammed? Refund issues

Bought a mobile phone from an online company on Barclaycard (company registered in UK with UK directors).
It arrived, and turns out it was a UAE model (no indication of this on the website) - so I disputed this and sent it back (special delivery - confirmed reciept) - the company said refund within 5 days or so.
I gave them a bit of extra time due to Easter bank holidays.
Chased it after almost 2 weeks as no refund had been issued.
They claim that they have tried to issue the refund with WorldPay (their payment provider) but they are having problems doing so. (So why haven't they contacted me to say so?)
So they have offered to refund me via bank transfer. I'm not comfortable with this and feel like they are not being straight with me. So maybe issuing a Section 75 claim via Barclaycard is the next option.
Any thoughts?

Why not just let them do the bank transfer, if it turns up all is well, if not you can still fall back on S75 (or Chargeback, which is probably the more appropriate option in the circumstances).0

Not sure how comfortable I feel about giving my bank details to someone on the end of an email.0

maybe give them details of a savings account if you are not comfortable giving your current account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. How can we advise when the most important piece of information is missing?
How much did the phone cost?
The fact that they have agreed to refund via a bank transfer (keep copies of the emails as proof) suggests then a chargeback would work.
Never mind any problems with Worldpay - the card provider will sort it.0 -

Are you that picky when paying for something by cheque? The same information is given every time you write one out.

Although many savings accounts don't accept external payments.
I would hope that if the OP decides to give an 3rd party saving account details he would opt for one that doesI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
