    You're not on a blacklist.

    Lenders will view you more positively once debts are repaid and defaults have disappeared.
  • There are no blacklists.

    You obviously still owe money - check all 3 credit reports to see whats there in terms of defaults of overdue accounts

    Probably the same answer as your thread 2 months ago.

    There are no industry wide blacklists though your credit record showing unpaid debts etc will reflect on those willing to lend to you for the 6 years that these stay on your record. If you don't / didn't pay off the debts, individual firms may choose not to lend to you again

    People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

    It seems slightly contradictory to say you are now on a good wage and won't make the same mistakes with regards to debt, then negate this by asking to borrow more money when you appear not to have repaid the last lot.

    3 or 4 years will likely see you being able to get mainstream cards again, providing you keep your record clean in the meantime.

    Any lender is entitled to keep their own record of persons they would not want to do business with (a blacklist if you like) without time limit so the answer to youe question is ;

    potentially for the rest of your days.

    If you want to improve your chances of getting into debt again make sure you go to lenders that you havnt used before

    There is no blacklist as such but it isn't going to disappear overnight.
    Information is held on your credit report for 6yrs.

    Sit down and work out how much you owe and to whom.

    Head over to the DFW board and post a SOA.

    Pay off all your debt.

    Then only borrow what you can afford to pay back but make the most of it with cashback credit cards etc.
