so you can stay with them for another year until your credit runs out! a better description i guess would be buy 1 year, get 1 free(or possibly more than 1 if you changed tarrif down quite a bit)0
-
I was hoping to take the cash and run/switch to another bargain rate after 12 months, with 'airtime credit' it's just like a huge prepayment scheme which ties you in to o2 no matter what they do with their tarif pricing! >:(0

and I can't find the orange cashback deal under ovp vodaphone 200, they just keep offering playstations! Got anymore tips on how to find it as I am keen to get a new contract this month.
go to https://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk
on the drop menus on right choose orange and nokia 3510i click go, it should land straight on that deal, if not click on top of screen "change your tariff" then choose your phone as the 3510i, free gift is 3 months 1/2 price and £240 cashback0 -
I found it! Fantastic. the secret is to click on BUY. it then casually tells you that you get 3 months half price rental AND £240 cashback!
- I rang to see if this was all true and it is!
the cashback goes to your bank account after 3 and 6 months (none of this silly airtime credit stuff).
The only thing that isn't correct on the website is that the text bundles cost £2 for 30txt, £4/60 and £8/240... not £0 for all as on the net!
Anyway, all seems great so I am off to buy one.
Thanks very much saver007!0 -
sorry to go on about this but I forgot to mention that you also get an extra 200 free minutes to use in the evening, so thats a total of 400 minutes a month. It is an orange promotion that matches your call plan minutes with evening minutes. excellent!
ps. I've bought mine! ;D0 -
Are you sure about the extra 200 mins/month?
This offer (extra free 200 mins) is for the your plan tariffs - but the £240 cashback being discussed in this thread is for the OVP Voda tariff.0 -
ooops, Maybe I got a bit overexcited there!
I looked at the pop up window again and yes, it does say 'your plan'.
I didn't spot the careful wording there. I wrongly presumed that as it had popped up it applied to what I was buying.
sorry!
(but I still think it's a great deal!)0 -
also take care to retain all the documents sent from osps especially the cashback ones and check what the exact requirements are to get your cashback as they like to follow them to the letter to cath out those who waver from them0
-
I looked at the o2 deal but the cashback is in the shape of "airtime credit". That's hardly 'cash'back is it!
i checked it out again and you could be right.
on the other hand it may mean that the money goes into the account that pays the bills as opposed to them sending a cheque.
either way i have emailed them to clarify.
(if u r right then it is not a good deal)0 -
Thanks for the offer Saver!
I'm confused about the 2nd 6 months bit. To which tariff should I change to that's costs £15/month?
I ask this because I've always been on PAYG phones and don't know much about contract phones!
ThanksWaddle you do eh?0
