We should for ALL cases be advising people to use the relevant courts E-Filing email address
Much depends on the size (number of pages) of the WS. Some courts have been reported to have a limit on the number of pages they will print, beyond that number, they don't get printed.
At best the bundle (if just a few pages) will have a staple through it keeping things together, a larger bundle may just be an unsecured sheaf with a danger of things getting out of sequence, just being dumped with the Judge for him/her to sort.
Sometimes colour prints help the presentation, I'm sure the court office doesn't run to colour printing of appropriate pages?
Hand delivery means the Defendant is certain it has been handed over (and a receipt from the clerk is written confirmation).
Judge have commented very favourably on neatly ring bound WS and evidence packs - too often to be overlooked or dismissed - compared to the often ramshackle efforts of the PPCs, dumping huge tomes of templated irrelevant drivel.

Not really. Why not phone the court in the morning. They will have a better idea than anyone here (like the precise reason). Whatever, it looks like it's over for you.

Indeed call the court0

It means you won, but 'case settled' means BW Legal told the court you settled/paid it!
Anyway, a win is a win and another one bites the dust! :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello
I just phoned the court...
The lady on the phone looked up my case on the system and said that they had received a letter from BW Legal saying we had settled.
I asked what the letter said. She put me on hold and went to find my file.
She read me the letter and it said nothing about settling and simply said that they were discontinuing the claim and that I'd be notified of this (which I hadn't). No reason for discontinuing given.
So there we go. All done(?).
Thank you very much to everyone here.
Especially Coupon-Mad. I'm very, very grateful.
Thank you, GreenSheep0 -
Well done for your persistence otherwise you (and we) would have gone along thinking BW Legal had lied - heaven forfend! What a pity the "lady on the phone" couldn't be bothered to fetch your file in the first place to give you accurate information.0
