I'm still here, been absent as was away for Easter then had the dreaded citizenship interview on Tuesday morning, which was as bad as expected if not worse. Tuesay and Wednesday were long long days at work so this morning is time to catch up. WM is on, place not too untidy and I have a load of domestic admin to look at so had better get on with banking etc.

    Hugs to all
    xx

    Hi all,

Busy lurking around for another day, as it's back home tomorrow. Every time we come it gets harder to go back home, but I guess that's the sign of a good holiday. I'll be back in at the weekend, presumably chained to the wm and ironing board.

Sorry it's late, but massive hugs HB and Mr HB. Devilcat was lucky to have had such a lovely home. RIP, little cat.

Dizzy - hugely exciting news! Good luck researching and getting going. Fab post LW.

As for the challenges - I need to be in them for sure. Slinkiness has probably been challenged this week, but I'll do the usual weekend weigh in and see what's what. Not holding out much hope there. H2H - well that never ends. Stuff leaves, more stuff expands to fit the space. Scrimpers I also need, but like YL I need a plan, as vaguely trying to scrimp isn't doing it. I think I need to get back into the habit of tracking every little spend to see where it is leaking from. I also need to rethink how I grocery shop. Isn't it strange how sometimes things get clearer when you are away from home?

Anyway, last day here, the sun is out, the birds are in full chorus, and DD has just made me a cup of coffee to take out into the sun. Have a good day everyone, x

Bed stripped, window open. Mum's been so 'fat chewed'; DD's GF told her about the ongoing illness; upshot is she's been diagnosed with severe Crohn's. V.impressed (NOT) with doctor who looked at her and said 'it's not cancer' - and I mean looked - not examined! because 'she's too young'. I bet someone younger than her (21) has been diagnosed with bowel cancer...

    washed vacuum cleaner filter.

Tried to remove fridge light bulb to get a replacement. Fiddly enough to open the compartment - as it opens at the back (why, Hotpoint? Why not make it open from the front where the door is?) and the lightbulb, which I can feel, won't unscrew. Assuming it's a screw...because it's not visible because it's a stupid, inaccessible compartment.

Valli have you looked in the manual or online to see how the bulb comes out?

The manual focusses on how to unfasten the compartment. it doesn't even specify a particular bulb! Not found any help on line.

I suspect it will be a SES.

Rabbit hutch now has clean sawdust and fresh straw.

Most of today's washing is ironed:D
