Three days after it's no longer a priority issue and one day before the annual service is happening, there are vast amounts of water exuding from the boiler and nothing works. Looks like it's been happening for several days, as it's all over the SC and surface [strike]he now says he cleaned yesterday[/strike]

    Bet they cancel.

    Evening all.

Finally got to sit down after a busy day. DH arrived home late, so the jacket potatoes were rather crispy, but apparently "amazing"!

Log fire roaring, raspberry G&T mellowing my mood and dogs all stretched out on their bags, enjoying the warmth.

High flood alert for us at 4am, which was lovely to be woken for. Fields around are all covered, but the river is dropping now, thank goodness. I'm not sure I really want to test out our defences quite yet

I'm also putting this here to ensure I do actually do it...

I'm starting a dog walking and home boarding business.

Hugely nervous and apprehensive but getting lots of info together about what's needed...Lamewolf - any pointers?

There. It's got to be done now!

    Evening folks

Soo sorry that I've been awol but my lappy died last Tuesday and the 'mend-it' man seems to think it's terminal. So I've bitten the bullet and bought a Chrome-book today. DH had to go back to collect this evening, as they had to set it up, and I managed to 'persuade' the sales chappy to do a free personalisation as well.

So I'm now on a steep learning curve and hope to be back to speed in a couple of days - it all seems very different and strange atm

I've tried to catch up but so many posts so sending Hugs to all needing some, condolences to HB and good luck to Dizzy.

I'm definitely in this week and have loads planned to do.

Spare sticks and spoons if you need some
Hope you all have a super Wednesday

Dizzy how exciting! I'm sure that Lamewolf will be able to give you some great ideas.

Lynne good luck with the Chrome book; I'm sure it will get easier once you get a bit more used to it.

Just about to get my second cup of tea and then will make a start on the paid stuff. Not going anywhere today so going to really concentrate on trying to catch up on stuff including Flying. Am hoping J will hear about his job this week - they did promise him on Thursday that they'd get back to him but nothing as yet. Mind you, with him being away they might have told him and he's not let me know .... he does that sort of thing regularly ... sigh ....

Morning all. Good luck with the new venture Dizzy - we're off for a second visit today to the sitters who'll be looking after LittleyDog and Poppet in the summer.

FBO - I think between the pair of us, we completed yesterday's list.

Better get moving, all I've done so far today is wash the breakfast dishes.
Spend less now, work less later.

I've been up 20 minutes.. I've put the WM on after cleaning the filth out of the door seal, fed 4 girls, changed a revolting nappy, opened 2 bananas and made a cuppa.... so how come when I am left in bed and OH comes down and managed none of that in a couple of hours?

Done all my paid stuff and having lunch. Just put some towels in the WM as we seem to be getting through so many so catching up whilst J and the kids away! Put the heating on as just seem to be cold brrrrr.
Doing a cup of tea and my pudding and then going to get the trusty Dys0n out and see what I can get done. Need to wash up and just have a general tidy up around here before the troops get back in 24 hours. Taking Breggey out on my own for the first time tomorrow so have to re-find my brave pants!!
