First off sorry to hear you are unwell. Hopefully some time away from work and dropping to 4 days plus getting rid of some other work will all help in the long run.

Croatia is a beautiful place and walking holiday sounds great. Treat yourself and get it booked. Maybe have a treat whilst you are off , a massage or a facial at your local college. You will feel great after. .
Thanks Cumbria. Feeling better already for the pressure being off. Not tearful any longer either. Colleges are closed until the Autumn now. I'm hoping to swim tomorrow; it always makes me feel better...I will book the holiday on pay day so I won't be able to talk myself out of it. Hope all is good at your end :)

WOW way to go DIA! £81 extra is a massive amount of money to pull back.

Had to laugh about your garden tools in the house.... I'm continually complaining that I can't fine anything I need ie drills, screwdrivers etc. They SHOULD be in the shed (not that I'd be able to lay my hands on them with all the rubbish in there ) but him indoors has them stashed away in his wardrobe, chests of drawers, under the stairs..... you get the drift? :rotfl:
Mind you I'm as bad. I'm trying to list on evilbay while the special offer is on, but I can't find ANY of the accessories for the things I'm trying to list, and I'm shattered pulling stuff around in the 2 bedrooms of doom - minus beds- that I laughingly call my work rooms. Steptoes Yard was more organised ( and probably cleaner! ) :o:o I keep doing 10 minutes in there and then coming back here for a coffee (wheres the coffee smiley?) and a catch up.
Then I read all the things you're doing and feel totally guilty that I'm so bl00dy useless :(

Anyway I'm pleased you're sounding more positive... remember not to go back to work too soon, take the time you need to get yourself totally together. XX

Thanks Crystal. A large part of the £81 was the gym :o
Take no notice of my list of things done. It is desperation so I don't think too much :o
I am definitely not going back to work next week but I doubt I'll be off the full 2 weeks. We shall see but already feeling more positive and able to cope but then there is very little stress away from work. Hope you are having a lovely Sunday :)

Agh forgot about the college being closed, good job one of us is awake! Agree the swimming will be very therapeutic, it always is for me.

I wouldn't set yourself a date for going back to work, just take s day at a time and see how you feel.

I'd second beanielou's advice - take the two weeks and get into a really good place before considering returning to work. Even though you're "already feeling more positive..." I don't know if that's strong enough to go back to normal. Maybe take the time now to make sure you're strong enough when you go back to reality?

    Just my thoughts...

Thank you Cumbria, HomegrownO and Beanielou for saying don’t go back to work too soon. You are right and I am wrong as I have spent the last 2 days with migraine. It is still with me now but not as strong. Maybe it is just the weather, but maybe I still need to rest.

I managed to phone in my meter readings and do minimal washing up and tidying/hoovering yesterday. I will clean the loo and do washing up and hoovering again today. I might make some humous. Steaming the floors can wait until I feel stronger.

Later (after 3pm when it is cooler :)) I have the meeting at the Swedish store when I have to sign to get the installers to do their report. I am strangely nervous about this. :o It doesn’t matter as I will do it anyway.

I am going to do a shopping list as there is a supermarket nearby to the Swedish store. I am going to buy lots of fruits and a big sponge and I will start to clean my own car as I don’t think £10 is worth it for what they do. I can do better, so I will, although when I feel time pressured I will pay to get it done.

House stuff has ground to a halt.

I am procrastinating about electrical work that I think is overpriced but I've been too lazy to get another quote to benchmark against. :o

I should be getting quotes for windows. :o I got one quote a few months back and I only used them to benchmark. My previous window was put in well (8 years ago) but I disliked the company. I need to get a grip as if this window is done I can get the room decorated and create a lovely space for guests to stay. I could pay for this at the end of August if I save £1,000 this month. I should be able to do this as I used to pay £1,000 to debt.

I hope you are all well today

Not sure if you got my PM (because I didn't receive yours) but if you did, feel free to respond with what your quote was and for what work.

Alternatively, if it's not sensitive info, you can always post it and i'll comment if the PMs aren't working.

No pressure! Just thought it might help.
