You may be spending money DIA, but you also seem to be attracting itI would 100% blame Brexit
Getting a travel bursary/subsidy is very nice - not sure how far you are travelling but it must be a way away for £100 - which will get you many hundreds of miles if driving, and quite a long way on the rail network - a railcard and off peak travel can save you £££££Travel costs are great :j :jIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Today has been better than yesterday thank goodness (hoping the same was true for you Homegrown)
I spent some money on basic shopping.
I was hungry all morning as I was out of breakfast food. Worse still no coffee  and I left the house early and did not want to buy food out.
The week is almost over and it has to be said, not much actual work achieved
I am still throwing stuff out and decluttering and hoovering but honestly the dirt, dust and clutter never ends. I never arrive at done.
I've been thinking about the BSD again as INOD will be starting it. I'll read it tonight and set a start date for phase 2. Phase 1 is too hardcore for me I'm afraid.
The plumber hasn't replied to my text after me giving him a second chance so no more chances. I haven't heard from the Lady decorator either. I was given the number for a builder who I will call tomorrow to get a quote on the fascias. Once I have a figure I can begin to work towards it. Another big deal is a bathroom. Lots to think about.
I hope you all had a good dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Did you go to the library or a coffee shop to work today DIA? I hope you got some work done.
We'd all like to have a perfect and super efficient day every day, but realistically many days turn into a compromise where we are partially, but not completely successful. As long as you got some of the things on your list done then it has been a good day but not a perfect day.
I hope you hear from the lady decorator, plumber and fascia man soon. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks HH.
I don't mind not having perfect days but I have had a second day of not doing any of my project and that is the reason I away from my other job so I am a bit disappointed in myself
I got derailed by going out to shop for breakfast groceries and what with this and that the day passed me by...
Yes, I hope I hear from the tradespeople but mostly the fascia man as I don't have the money for the others anyway. At least if I have a price for the fascias I can begin to get my head round how to raise the funds. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. I can see that not getting any work done would be disappointing. Can you plonk yourself in a coffee shop or the library first thing in the morning and tell yourself that you will get work done or you are not allowed to go home? :rotfl:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I think the same applies to getting work done as applies to eating frogs - pick the biggest one and eat it first thing. Your project is your biggest frog, so to speak. Your plan to get up, eat then get to the library to work should help you swallow that frog nice and early so that you can get on with something enjoyable or 'for you' later.

I should really practice what I preach.... I am a morning person too and it is much easier to work in the mornings. I'm confident tomorrow I can work effectively
