I am ready to go again on the house hit list so I texted the lady decorator. I will no doubt be in a queue so it made sense to let her know the windows are in. I am waiting to hear from her.

I heard from the plumber who did not turn up. He went to Poland and is back now. He apologised so I will give him another chance to fit the stopcock and fit a new tap. I need a plumber generally so it makes sense to at least meet him.

Today I will text a contact re a builder recommendation so I can get quotes for the fascias. This job is a priority

Today will be NSD stay at home day.

I need eggs and coffee so I will need to get up early and walk to the shops for my breakfast, but that is no bad thing.

I have a large bag of things for the charity shop so I will keep adding to it today and drop it off tomorrow.

I will be moving furniture to improve my living room, decluttering, cleaning and washing clothes.

I will also be doing at least 3 hours project work today ;)

    Today I will be making:

    veggie soup
swede and potato rosties (I dislike swede so this is an experiment)
    humous

Wishing you all a lovely day :)

Hmm, in a weird meh mood today… Not sure why…am I allowed to blame Brexit? Everything else is blamed on Brexit so I'm going to ;)

Very little cleaning actually done, no decluttering and definitely no furniture moving. I know the day isn’t over but I can’t see me doing much more than wash dishes and tidy. Not at all motivated.

It is raining to add to the gloom…

The soup I made earlier came out great but the rostis are not a hit. I had no chickpeas so no humous made. I made a sun-dried tomato sauce that is nice.

Washing done and drying with the humidifier on.

Tomorrow I will get up and leave the house to work in the library again, as I can’t afford another day like this.

INOD always writes a gratitude list and I am doing one too before I lose perspective. So:

I am grateful that I have a home to do work on.
I am grateful for this expanse of time to be creative
I am grateful for the retreat I will be going on and for them writing to me yesterday to offer £100 towards my travel costs.

Hoping you have fared better with your day :)

    I would 100% blame Brexit

Getting a travel bursary/subsidy is very nice - not sure how far you are travelling but it must be a way away for £100 - which will get you many hundreds of miles if driving, and quite a long way on the rail network - a railcard and off peak travel can save you £££££
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Good news on the travel money DIA! Every little helps, as they say.

I had a bad day on the motivation front yesterday too - mine was lower than low and my mind was elsewhere. Hoping today is better for both of us.
