A - 10/18 NSD today.
P - Done, still drip feeding in any pennies saved into my main savings account
R - Done.
I - Found a really easy baby cardigan pattern to attempt, though I may make it a maternity leave project. Must carry on with blanket squares in the meantime
L - Bath and pilates done
F - I will do my press ups later if I'm feeling less sick - I do raised leg ones so I don't hit my bump on the floor! Ended up walking further than my pain free distance to a nurse appointment this morning
O - As per 'P'
O - Requested birthday present ideas, money set aside separate from my spending budget once I have an answer!
L - I've had 6 chocolate coin things today
S - Grateful for:
Finishing sorting out baby stuff
NHS care for unborn little one
Finding even more meals I can make from stores. Trying to spend £20 or less on groceries for the rest of the month, should be achievable (though I'm planning on spending £2.50 of that on some half price Epsom salts if I can get them!)0 -
Indigo warrior - hope things are ok with you. You have a lot on your plate. Hugs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hope you're ok, apple... xx
Thank you greent. I managed to pull a muscle in my neck/shoulder. I did itduring my latest kettlebell workout (where I was feeeling so good that I did a 3 min finisher of swings) but had no pain or inkling that I'd hurt it until I'd finished and started to cool down.No amount of stretching would help to ease it so I let it be yesterday. Today it has minimised my ability to move my head/neck,but it is starting to feel a little better.
No kettlebells for a few days then!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Today I am grateful for getting out and about early, for picking up my new specs, for getting more coir compost and some tom plants, for meeting up with dh, for doing more sorting and clearing, for ibu gel + heat pads again, for finishing another sleeve for dgs' cardigan.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening everyone,
Ended up not going swimming today, just pottered around the house meaning I notched up NSD #5.
Sent £35 to the full and final fund bringing its total up to £64.65/£2100.
Have had a read of my book, nothing else to report.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
Was naughty today and bought chips for lunch. Thought it would be okay as I was due to go to kickboxing, but that got cancelled. Then I thought it's okay I can go swimming! Turned up to the pool and they were about to close it as it had been hired out by a group. The online timetable didn't reflect the reality so I took a paper one and plan to go back in the morning! Did a little workout at home instead but not as much as it would've been.
Because of the lack of sporting activity I essentially wasted a NSD as I bought lunch thinking I'd be spending later anyway. So I'm up to 4 spend says for the month, tomorrow will be 5. Perhaps I wasn't realistic with my aim to only have 5 spend days given I attend the odd exercise class which inevitably involves spending. I'm still keeping spends down so it's not the end of the world I suppose. I broke my handheld hoover so will need to replace some parts, am glad I have the emergency fund now. Even though it's unlikely to be expensive it would've thrown me not so long ago.
Might not be able to check in over the weekend, I'm snowed under with my dissertation so have to focus on that. It's the first time I've really not wanted to be committed to horse riding each weekend as I could really do with the extra time but it's good to get out and it's good to do some self care!
Anyway, apologies for the ramble. Hope everybody has a good weekend and that the weather starts to brighten up.0 -
Hi all :j
Aim for at least 15 NSDs. Usual exceptions apply, you won't lose a NSD for ys items, petrol or medical expenses. NSD today so 7/15 NSDs
Pay to your debt or savings first and live off the rest. Added up March's expenses - horrifying is the word. Still need to split up cc spends to see what went where. Now have cc statement ready to total. Will need to use savings to pay for hols..in 10 days time! Will be able to use savings for holiday spends now..
Report in every day. The daily support from this thread will keep you on track Here again..13/30
Interests - is there any hobbies that you'd like to take up or perhaps an old hobby that you'd like to start again. This is the month to do it, let us know what you plan to do Have 2 so far - collecting hobby I have & someone got in touch to buy something connected to it - 4 years ago!! She got back in touch 2 weeks ago, have emailed her today & will attempt to find the item she wants...it's win-win as it will be money for savings too. Also, have Fairisle cushion to finish, usually do mindless knitting in front of TV, this doesn't come under that so never gets done. Finally retrieved fairisle cushion from back of chair where it was stuffed; realise to my shame haven't touched it in 18 months..despite that managed to find my place in the pattern & actually do a couple of rows. Bless highlighter tape!! Finally managed to identify all the different colours of the wool - hard when they are called irrelevant names & are missing the ball bands - only to realise I am missing a colour. Shan't need it until almost the end, might just use what I have left over. Will take my craft stuff on holiday as I can do it in the evening, very relaxing.
Love yourself, do something to make yourself feel fab - wear a bright scarf, get your eyebrows done, have a bath, put on your fave perfume. Perfume today!
Find time to get outside. Lighter nights are now here so get out in the garden, go for a walk. Fresh air is good for everyone. Nearly finished 3rd garden border now & clean up round back (think Steptoes yard) going well. Just need DH on board to get rid of some more junk.
Overpay - aim to pay 20% extra to your debt or savings. It's up to you how you do this - overtime at work, saving money on the food bill, selling items. Will deffo try, will be in the form of selling collectibles or ebaying. Making a PAD every day to keep cc balance under control.
Organise your month. Check your cupboards, make a meal plan and stick to your food budget. Plan any social events and budget for them, ideally come up with free alternatives. Will do, need to reduce freezer stocks. Another meal from stock & using up things we had in. Also made 2 loaves of sourdough..
[/COLOR]Lose one bad habit. Mine's is a food related one but it can be anything you like. No snacking between meals. No snacking today, but did eat a piece of chocolate Easter egg after supper...grr/
Sign off your daily post with a list of gratitudes. Grateful for: Little robin visiting again whilst I was clearing up outside, more camellias open & little bits of colour showing in the garden, nice supper & starting to feel a bit better with cracked rib...after 2 weeks..New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -
Tidying is underway. Feeling disappointed by lack of progress so very glad that I wrote down what I have done. Still looks a mess but there is a chair I can sit on and parts of the floor are visiable (have scooped up three trays full of stuff but still more down there (it is all tiny bits like buttons and sequins and tiny scraps of paper that may be seful or may be rubbish). Found some money as well but saving it to count later.
Have just had a snooze so will be settling down for the night soon. I have done my food stock check - went down, put food in the oven, washing in the machine, five trips to the bin with recycling and the stock check whilst waiting.
Brought as many bags for life back up with me as I could find - things to go out of the house (mum's/ library/ cs) are bagged and things that should be somewhere else (already taken a bag of diy - tools/ screws and hooks etc downstairs) and started bagging things by categories (larger clothing items with a small carrier for all the odd socks, gloves etc inside).
I have 2 more days, I will continue plodding. Short snooze seems to have got rid of the pesky headache that would not shift.
Today I am grateful for progress, however slow, for not going outside (saw the man setting off on the motor mower - if they have to have grass round the church and library, why can't they leave it alone), for a good sleep (catching up + cough is really aggressive + shoulder is nagging already), for feeling cocooned (in a good way - although waking up feeling 40 years younger would be fun), for a good book t look forward to.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Definitely not a NSD today. Almost £200 gone on various things, but all of them necessary-ish.
Nothing in savings.
Made a cake and also a pair of trousers- both turned out v well.
Day 5 alcohol free. Not missing it at all, which is good.
