Just got my 3100 from a local halfords
Is it ready to go out of the box? as i can test this on my drive home0 -
Should be, might take a few minutes to get your initial position. When you first turn it on stay in the same position with a good view of the sky, it will get a position much quicker if you are stationary.0

Okay, this may have been posted but don't want to trawl every reply to check!
AxaSunlife have an over 50's plan where the free gift is a garmin sat nav. the monthly premium is £6. If you study the T&C's you'll see that if you cancel after one month ie 1 instalment of 6quid they don't demand the free gift back nor do they state a minimum term.
Hey presto a sat nav for £6. Be legit and cover yourself by asking a relative who is over 50 to use their details, or just lie about your age if your daring!!0 -
Have you got a link? On the axa page it says satnav but not which one.0

Re Axa Sun Life sat nav
Just looked at small print:
You'll receive your gift from AXA Sun Life Services plc one month after we receive your first premium. This gift is paid for out of commission we receive for arranging this Plan.
Some of the charges pay for the commission and support that AXA Sun Life plc provides AXA Sun Life Services plc for assisting in the arranging of the Plan. This amount is based on the size of your premium. For example, the commission and support for a female aged 55, paying a premium at the start of £12 a month, would on average be worth £271.92. The commission is a one-off payment, made immediately on the Plan being set up.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'
(From Mae Stewart's book 'Dae Yeh Mind Thon Time?')0 -
Meaning what??0

I,m assuming that if you cancel you don't get the #271 one -off commission payment back so the satnav would be quite expensive.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

But surely you're not paying the commission - that's what they get for setting up the "sale". All you will pay, will be the second month's premium, since the first month is free.........well, that's the way I read it, hope I'm right!!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
