crikey, no I never received the email from john lewis either that some had come back in stock.

ah well no matter as I bought the myguide 3100 from halfords.

I reserved it at halfords this morning for that 79.99 like I'd said this morning.

However, my parents were in there earlier in the day, and it was labelled at 69.99 . they were going to get one for themselves but they had no stock (outside of my reservation) and were expecting some later in the day.

Later I went there, and picked up mine, it scanned at till at 79.99, so thought ok changed now, and fair enough.

As a brucey bonus however, halfords are offering £10 voucher when spend £50 instore.

My parents then showed up shortly after, and my mother being as vocal as usual brings up that they were 69.99 earlier in store when she wanted to pay in advance, so they honoured it for her.....thankfully I was still there too so they refunded me £10 too

So I got it in effect for 59.99 or 69.99 if count the £10 halfords voucher that is depending on how you look at it

Can't wait to mod it with extra tomtom software

On a sidenote, with some mini comments on it.

I plugged it into the car, the car charger is very very short so that could cause a problem for some.....going to have to stretch the coil on mine a bit methinks too.

It took a few minutes to work out how to set my destination properly, but thats not a problem as such, its just cos I've only ever seen tomtom software before.....its just different.

Overall I do like the looks of the layout and will be good to convert it to see how other software pans out.

As it doesnt come with a charger, anyone know if a regular multi-adapter using 5v would work?
