    Hello!

I've been far too spendy this month so I haven't come here often - felt too ashamed of myself.

Pay day is here and I am going to try so hard this month. Going to keep reading diaries everyday.
Got a budget (in envelopes) of £5 per day for the summer holiday so if we want to do something which costs more, we need a couple of non-spend days around it.

Budget does not include food or petrol.

Savings are: £1050. Have gone into my savings 3 months in a row.

Overdraft: I've reduced it by £50 this month because of the summer holiday.

This time next year I will be about to make my final loan payment, I won't have any overdrafts but I will still have my credit card with about £1350 on it.

I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel!

My current debt total is £6457.

I think it was around £14-15,000 when I started out at the beginning of last year.

  • Me and you both with the overspends - I'm taking it as a little reminder to not take my eye off the ball

I can't live a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget

Look how far you have come - you are well over two thirds to the where you want to be x

So my overdraft is now £400 and I desperately hope I can pay it over by the end of this year. It is pretty good feedback to see my bank balance in generally a plus situation for some of the month. That £1000 overdraft weighed heavily for far too long. This is my next debt to see cleared and that will be a big milestone and a great psychological boost when it happens.

Getting a few babysitting jobs through which is also good.

This time next year I will be free of all debts apart from my credit card. I do have a feeling that the end is in sight.

11 more loan repayments. Soon to be a single figure of repayments to go.

I have had a lovely, far too frivolous, long holiday greatly subsided by my savings. I told my husband I want it to be over for maybe the 10th time. He is still here. I cannot afford to make the break until at least next
August. I fell a little bit head over heels with someone but it is not reciprocated so that is it.

Time to re-group, re-focus and blast the next 12 months.

Thank you so much for asking after me!

The truth is I’ve felt too ashamed to log in here lately.
I have strayed from my MSE ways.
I have been continuing to pay £450 a month off my debt but my savings are down to £400 and I have been relying on my savings at the end of every month.

    Anyway...
    Back to read some diaries.

Determined to have a good clear out and to try and make some money.

Determined to stick to the budget I have worked out for October.

Going to reduce my overdraft on Wednesday to £290. I was going to reduce it to £300 but I need the boost of seeing it in the £200s.

My plan is to see that overdraft gone by the end of this year. It has been a long time since I have cleared a debt.

I have a couple of families now who I babysit for.

In January I will need to try and shift my credit card to another 0% balance transfer. Did I read somewhere that those kinds of deals are drying up or did I imagine that?

11 loan payments left. Looking forward to that being a single digit at 9 months.

I want to be back on this!

Great to see you posting again. :)

Don't feel ashamed! Everyone is rooting for you, and the best thing about falling off the wagon is being able to climb back on again. You can do this. (((hugs)))

Never be ashamed. We only want to support you. Plus you've stayed on track with paying down debt. What's disappointing about that?

It's hard work as you go through runs where you need to spend money. The kids shoes can't wait or something breaks. Or just you get fed up.

Keep going Pidge. You're doing great xxx
