  • I'm sorry you have a problematic parent. At the end of the day, this is a business relationship. If they are unhappy they can go elsewhere, and if it's not working for you, you can do the same. You should expect your clients to treat you with respect as you are being professional in return.

Sadly there are some people who want to treat child carers / cleaners / other domestic employees as the hired help. That just doesn't wash any more.

    Babysitting parent cancelled today.
I sent a very gracious (I thought) message to withdraw my services.
Babysitting parent sent a foul message back.
    Have deleted my babysitting accounts.
A horrible lesson learned. Feel absolutely rubbish.

But haven’t spent any money for 2 days!

  • That is a shame. Not everyone is like that person though. 83 days is not that long until the two debts are gone and just going with the loan and £100 per month to the biggest credit card sounds like a plan.

  • You poor thing, I am sorry you had to deal with the unpleasant parent, it's really not okay.

Still, you can be proud of having a watertight plan and being on track to have 2 credit cards gone by Christmas! :D

  • Well done on the £48 a year saving on car insurance. Out of interest how much would you have saved if you paid it all up front for the year?

Ah, I didn’t even look at that. I reckon this time next year it will be an option though.

  • Hi there pidge04

I've just read your diary and wanted to congratulate you on all your progress. You are doing so well...keep going! The rewards will be worth all the sacrifice. Looking forward to hearing about you paying off those two credit cards by the end of the year, what an achievement!
