I want to believe I can do this!

That's a tremendous amount to pay off - I wish I could manage the same.
I've trimmed back the social calender but think it may need to be cropped even more - fortunately winter is coming and I'll be quite happy at home with a book x0 -

Well done pidge... stay positive and time will fly.
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0 -

It is very difficult with social invitations. I think my few close friends know my situation so we tend to go round to each other house etc but even that gets a bit spendy when it is your time to host.
My work colleagues do not ask me anymore. It is difficult. It is good you are happy at home with a book. I do like being at home in the evenings but I do enjoy a good giggle and catch up with my friends too.
I struggle with those spontaneous invitations when we have a beach date with friends and then someone will suggest we go to the pub or something there and then!Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
you'll find you won't save the full amount but loosen the purse strings a bit to make your life a little easier, not having to say no all the time but it would be a good idea to put some aside for a rainy day
I can't wait to be debt free so we can enjoy the money we make rather than spend it on debt xx
Yes, you are right!
When I am debt-free, I would love to save £50-£100 a month if I can for a travel fund. I did a lot of travelling in my 20s. I would like to show my DC a bit of the world ... on a budget though. Would never want to get back into the bad habit of sticking a flight on a credit card.

Pay day. Paid £100 off one credit card. Had £14 left from babysitting so paid that off the credit card too. There was £13 surplus in the bills account so I paid that off the credit card too.
I have been around the house picking up the coins left by my husband and DC here and there. Have added those to my selling envelope. I would absolutely love to deposit a bit of cash into my current account the day before my next pay day to feel that there was a bit of surplus and not right up to my overdraft limit as usual.
Got a number of figures to strike off my spreadsheet for the month and I have edited my signature.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
Day 1 and I spent 66p. I had to buy something (non food) from the supermarket so I just took a pound coin with me and no debit card.
I made dinner with ingredients from the store cupboard and the freezer.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
Hi pidge. Well done on all your payments. You're doing so well. I'm in awe of you for taking just a pound to the supermarket. I don't have that sort of self-discipline at the moment, but I'm working on it

I have £30 in a purse which I keep for emergencies/ impromptu spending situations - I accrued the money over a few weeks and then keep the purse in my bedside drawer so i am not tempted to used it any other time.
I hate feel constrained so my weekly budget of £150 is my FFF money - Food Fuel and Fun - some weeks I eat beans on toast if I am busy socially and other times I don't!!
You are doing really well and should be proud of the progress you are making.0 -
Day 2
My cash envelope was boosted by my mum giving my DC a fiver and I found £1.50 around the house!
I was given a voucher for my birthday this year which I have not used. I used it tonight to buy some Christmas presents for my mum.
DC is going for a sleepover party at the weekend. Needs PJs. She was given a dress for her birthday but it does not fit her so I am going to see if I can exchange it for PJs instead.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0
