Completely lost ... down in the dumps and cannot see for the wood for the trees right now. Got to lift myself out of this. Need to find a second job. Got some free time this morning to try and be proactive. How are you, LL?

I have applied for work at the shop I worked at as a Saturday girl in the 1990s.

I am not sure though if it is a viable option because I do need to make sure I am around for my daughter.

Shift work at a large supermarket would be best I think.

    But it is a start.

    Hey Pidge

I have a friend who works on a Sat am at a local supermarket distribution centre. Stupid hours, from 7am - 1pm on a Sat, but she gets staff discount in said supermarket and also its a weekly slot. Is this a possibility?

Keep taking each day as it comes, 'this too shall pass' as they say

    Much love

That would suit me perfectly. Thanks. I never look at the distribution jobs. I will include them in my search tonight!

Just a quick hello from me. Sorry to hear you've been down. Totally 100% think finding counselling is a good idea, it can feel scary to arrange but it's helped me & others. It's wonderful to have someone you can talk to who's job it is to listen, you don't have to justify yourself or sugarcoat things with a pro like that.
Maybe, too, while it can be helpful to obsess a bit about money in order to keep paying attention to it (that's what I do), that can be exhausting & add to anxiety when there's other things going on. This is a marathon, not a sprint (& we'll be cheering you on in 2020 when you make that last payment!)
You've done brilliantly, we can all see what a nice person & great mum you are from your diary here, it always cheers me up to see your positive comments on our diaries. I hope some of that shines back on you, you deserve it.

I'm tired Pidge, not sleeping early enough and then sleeping in, you know that vicious cycle.

Made a huge pot of soup tonight. I've some set aside to freeze. I do worry about things too. At the min I'm super positive and motivated, but I know that won't last .

Cleaned the living room and hoovered the hall...go me. Only cleaned the living room as I need to iron bedlinen and there were dog hairs on the floor. After that I couldn't face getting the iron out so put the bedlinen on the bed unironed and reckoned the heat of me would iron out the creases by morning....:rotfl:

Someone mentioned a counsellor, have you considered that? I went to one once, it was amazing....I think at times about going back to one. I've also noticed recently that as I'm walking the dog for 2-3 miles each night I'm more zen like. It's also been commented in work (while the others had a mammoth rant about a boss - I just listened (not like me usually). Change of circumstance means I'm walking the dog each night. Prior to that it was once / twice a week only.

Sorry for the novel, and totally taking over your page. Hope some of my crazy life made you smile xxx

    Night Pidge:A

Thank you, my MSE friend! I reckon I will get out of this slump with the return of work on Monday - back into my routine, will hardly be spending any money etc. It will be a long and twisty road for us both until Summer 2020 but we can do it!
