You are doing brilliantly. £19000 original debts (not including overdrafts presumably) and £8808 now. That CC1 and CC3 are so close to being repaid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I checked my credit report on another site this afternoon and I was heartened to see my situation labelled !!!8216;Stable.!!!8217; Probably a more polite way of saying !!!8216;Fair!!!8217;?
There was quite a list of positives and then one thing to work on - always pay credit card on time. This took me back to before May 2017 when I was very disorganised and probably not very well or functioning well, and I did used to pay some bills a day or two late. Cannot believe I did not snap myself into action at that time. What a massive negative impact I caused to happen. I have paid everything as soon as the bill arrives since May 2017.
Anyway, it is done and it is past. That is definitely not a behaviour I have now.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
As much as I hate direct debits I set mine up to take the min payment each month - I caved in after several due by dates were missed
I can always then log on and pay more but at least I know should anything happen there is no adverse affect on my credit rating or late payment charges0 -
I was only able to pay £50 off my credit card this morning and I had to use the rest of my earnings for my current account.
I will not manage to pay off one credit card this month as hoped but I have reduced it by £405.
It would never have crossed my mind until this year that I could pay off the debt rather than consolidate with a loan.
Although I have not managed it this month, I will get it paid off at the end of September.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
I clearly did not budget well this month so I need to address that with some more realistic calculations.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0

You've done brilliantly though -£405 is nothing to sniff at &, talking of sniffing, I can just smell how close you are to paying it off in full! Is that CC3 in your sig? In the long-term, you won't remember 'I took longer than planned to pay it off', you'll just remember how fabulous it felt to have cleared it & what an achievement that is.
Hope you're having a nice weekend.Starting debt (Aug 2018) £17,900

You are doing really well and reducing your credit card by £405 this month is amazing. Keep going and that credit card will soon be gone!Trust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0

I agree with what has already been said, £405 is an amazing amount to clear in a month. You are doing a great job :TSPC 0760

Thank you SO much Robin09 and Raldo! I had wanted to clear the lot so I was feeling bad about myself but thank you for your positive, supportive messages - it was a great chunk to clear in a month. Pay day is on Friday so I shall clear some more too. Thank you so much for your encouragement!
I saw today that my MSE credit score went up a bit too. I know it does not mean much in reality but still it does hearten me to see it improving! It was not good when I started here.
I am finding it really hard to watch every penny but days like today feel good.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0
