I paid my car tax today from my current account for the first time in several years. In past years, I paid it with a credit card. Ridiculous but it reminds me that I have come a long way.
Started my holiday job. I am absolutely knackered already! It is going to be a very different holiday to last summer but I hope that by the end of it, my debt will have a sizeable dent!
Pay day for this job comes on Friday! Fabulous!Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -

Tomorrow I will receive my first week's pay which will be £135. It will go on reducing my debt. Cannot wait to amend my debt figures here tomorrow morning!
This morning I was feeing very anxious about money - will there be sufficient to see me through the month? Do I need to try and flog some more stuff?
I read a book my Mum had lent me this afternoon and evening. That gave me some respite from my worries.
The good news is that working a couple of hours a day means I am not spending any money! My DC only wants to swim in the sea so we are spending most of our time on the beach. I have not used my car for a couple of days. Long may this continue!Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
You are doing well in getting that debt down and great if you manage to clear CC1 and CC3. Just leaves 1 card and 1 loan. Bit gobsmacked at your husband going on holiday for a month without you and your DC. I am sure I have asked this before but one of the reasons your debt occurred was because you and your husband split bills down the middle even though he earns a lot more than you don't you?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. You are doing really well... its a great feeling being able to change what you owe on here... cant wait to be able to do that one day!
Try not to worry too much and if you are unsure about having enough to see you through to the end of the month could you not hold back on some of the wage you are getting and if you need it you have it and if its still there at the end of the month you can then pay it off the debt? xTrust Deed Protected 1 out of 48 payments made 47 months to go!0
