OK it looks better that the CC1 is under a thousand now but not good that I now have the 3 credit cards.
CC3 needs to be paid off in 6 months but I am hoping to clear CC1 and CC3 with the income I will earn over the summer holiday.
On to the next job on my list!
CC2 is slowly but steadily decreasing.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
I phoned Barclaycard this afternoon and they have reduced the APR from 25% to 6.9% on the outstanding balance of £954.I said to the woman on the phone I should have done this sooner. She said it might have been that the offer wouldn't have been available to me last month. She said she could see I had not used the card for 6 months and that I was reducing the debt.
What an enormous relief. I know 6.9% is not 0% but it is a lot better than 25%.
I tried to phone HSBC too about that credit card APR but they're closed until tomorrow.
Today has been a very dark day for my feelings about my debt. I had sleepless nights around my LBM and worried dreadfully then but today was something different. I felt tearful. Knots in my stomach. Full of regret for the decisions I have made or not made in my life.
I feel like I am doing well in reducing my debt and not going down the hideous consolidation route again but still, I am in deep anguish today.
I am sure I have read about this in other diaries when people are a way into their debt journey.
A bump in the road. I shall bounce back.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -

I felt better tonight.
I worked out my monthly budget.
If I stay on track I should have £90 leftover!
I have written all my outgoings on a piece of paper and put it in my purse so I will see it the minute I open it up. Should deter me from making any unnecessary spends.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0
