As above, it's gone over the 6 months without a chargeable 'event' (call or text), so the number has been recycled and the credit lost.
Try putting a note in your diary next time.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

hi Mac, I keep note of calls made, but, still forgot to check.:rotfl: last used 19/9/17.
This has happened before, years ago, as I have only ever had one sim in 25 years, and then I phoned orange , they said I had lost my credit, but I could top up, which I did.
Never use my mobile, as you can tell :)
There should be a Cs number surely, it is only one week over the 6 months?
I could try 150 on wifes and pay 25p to talk to person , she has same sim, had them together?
If someone crapped them selves it would end up in my pants.
Just put £20 on mine 6 months and 1 week ago.
My fault, I knew the T/cs.
Only realised on Friday, when a lady decided to redesign the rear end of my car in a car park and I tried to use it.

My fault, I knew the TVs.
Try the Home Broadband & EE TV Freephone 0800 079 8586 but wait for its Option 5 for mobile queries.

Hi custardy, just rang that number, got through ok, all automated though, and it took me through menu to top up phone, mine is t -mobile number, said I could top it up.
However, I did not proceed with CC, because, if it has been redistributed, I may just end up topping it up for someone else?:(
If I cannot ring it, it is obviously locked, and just topping up, may not unlock it, not as if I can just put a quid on to try it?
    They come in threes!
Perhaps it may be better with new sim, unless I can speak to person at EE.

Contact EE via twitter, they should be able to help or point you in the right direction.

    @EE iirc.

You must make a connection action at least once every 180 days. If you do not your SIM will be disconnected from the network and you will not be able to use the service at all. You will lose your mobile phone number. Any credit on your account at the time of such disconnection will be forfeited.
We can charge to reconnect you to the services except where something in 6(a)(i) happens.

    Just found this in Tcs
    Pretty plain innit!

In the past T-Mobile (but not Orange) would reconnect a number upto 270 days so might still be worth asking. However my last T-Mobile PAYG was 35p per minute, 14p per text, 25p voice mail, data ? Asda mobile who are an EE MNVO are 8p per minute, 4p per text, 5p per 1MB. So now might be the time to move anyway.

    Thanks IZ, much appreciated.
As it is only for my !!!8220;SMART!!!8221; 20+ year old knokia 1100,:rotfl: that will probably be best, as it is only for leaving in the car.
Do you pay for new sim with credit on, old large type, not micro .
Know nothing about sims etc ?
EDITed:just checked that out, it is a sim bundle, my sim is only payg,
    not monthly.

    Not again.

    Scroll down the page:

They offer PAYG and bundles, just don't buy a bundle.

    "Not just great value bundles

Our standard Pay As You Go tariff offers everything you need with no fuss so all you need to do is top-up.

    8p min, 4p text, 5p MB"

SIM will be all four sizes and come with no credit but an inclusive "10 minutes, 10 texts and 10MB of data for free for your first 30 days."

Re the Nokia is it network unlocked?

I have two SIMs on Asda PAYG.
