She!!!8217;s pretty fiesty. But that!!!8217;s why we hired her. Because the lads are like they are, it takes quite a strong female I think to break that down and fit in. And I don!!!8217;t mean that in a discriminatory way. But they!!!8217;re quite lively so it takes someone tough to stand up to that.0

And yes, I will get the proper advice before doing anything else and what I would like to do is apologise and rectify things for her as best I can.0

Well I hate to tell you this, but my mother in her dotage took on a shop and employed a manager who totally shafted her, and when mum finally wised up and started the awkward questions, the girl left, then claimed unfair dismissal and because employment laws are different here she got to tribunal and it cost my mum £000's
All because my mum didn't have a clue about employing people and employment law
If you are going to be the boss, make sure you know what you are doing , or pay professionals to do it for you0 -

What are you running there? A playground?0 -
We want an inclusive environment here, we genuinely do.0

Not a playground at all, but we want people to enjoy working for us. Work shouldn!!!8217;t be boring - it should be fun and people should be able to foster friendships. I really don!!!8217;t know why I was quick to act now on the information I was given0

Just to add that I think the OP is getting the message. Not sure it's necessary for people to carry on piling in and kick him when he's down. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
That!!!8217;s now how I meant it to come across. But they!!!8217;re not always PC about things and we did make that clear in the interview with her and she was fine about that.0

I think you are right
Hopefully the OP will come back next week with an update
All the best OP, if all this is true, I really don't envy you at all0
