Just shows how every little bit helps moneywise. That is a great amount for each pot this month. I need to seriously look at my spending and get back into the saving mode. This I will take a tip off you and write some goals down for November.

Thanks amber03, yes it soon adds up and I find if I have my goals written down and a pot allocated to what i'm saving for i'm more successful at hitting my target.
  • Morning, waiting for the rugby to start so thought I would have a quick catch up.

Hospital and dentist both went ok, so hopefully that's me done with being poked and prodded for a while.

I've been offered a few extra hours at work, these are just until Christmas so I've said yes as the money will come in handy.

New month has brought a small £bay sale so £1 to each pot (Christmas, holiday, new fridge, MBNA) and also received a £10 M&S voucher which will be used for Christmas food. On my way to the dentist I spotted a Christmas present for my gran in a shop window but the shop was shut so I need to go back and get it, might also get one for MIL.

Did food shop yesterday after hospital appointment, £75 spent and then £20 fuel put in the car.

Today is all about rugby, baking and ebay listing.

    Have a great day xx

Mr SA was gutted at the rugby. Finances sounding good and you've started making inroads into Christmas which is brilliant :)

Yes it was sad about the rugby but also happy for South Africa and what it means to them as a country.

Christmas is stressing me out, don't feel at all organised.
  • Afternoon.

So yesterday I decided to order some Christmas food from M&S using my vouchers, spent £55 and paid £30 so just need to pay the £25 when I go and collect it on December 23rd.
DD and DS have no idea what they want for Christmas so think we will give them money and a few token gifts to open on the day, I have set a limit of £50 with DH for buying presents for each other, I really need to write a list a get organised on the present front.

Made a sale overnight on £bay so £3 to each pot and have a couple of things ending today, listed a few BINs this morning and have some scheduled items going on later this evening.

Beef casserole bubbling away in the slow cooker for tea will have with mash and peas, need to do some baking as none got done yesterday and get on top of the washing.

    Have a great day x

Whatever I've got in my VSP will be what I can spend at Christmas. I try to stick to a strict budget and not last minute panic buy in the days leading up to it. It's surprising how quickly small spends can mount up.

    Have a fab week xx

All sounding good PWPS.. and you've now got me thinking about the Christmas preparations. I always know I spend more when I am not organised so based on your nudge ;) will make that an 'intention' for the upcoming week - both food planning as well as presents. DD1 was back for a few days and we have agreed to have a quiet immediate family Xmas at home, maybe with some volunteering thrown in if we are needed.

Have a good week (and I am definitely considering coming round for some of that beef casserole :) I can bring red wine :D)

Thanks Brizzle, DH and DS are both working at some point on Christmas day so spending it at home to.
Pop round anytime for beef casserole if your bringing the wine :D.
  • Morning, quick update. Made £18 last night on ebay which has been split between the pots. Banking checked and nothing has gone out and apart from posting some ebay parcels nothing should be spent today.

    Have a great week xx
