Spendy trip into town (aren't they always)
Went to M&S for the £10 meal deal that's on the BGT advert, got 2 x pizza,1 x BBQ chicken wings, 1 x breaded chicken nugget things, 1 x chocolate brownie bite and 1 x sweet potato fries but I had 2 vouchers on my sparks card 1 for £1 off breaded chicken and 1 for £1 off any mini bites cake tubs, didn't know if they would get taken off so went to the self checkout so not to draw attention and put the meal deal through and then swiped my card and it took the £2 off so got it for £8 :j.
Went to boots and managed to get DD kalms and as there was an offer on I got my multi vitamins as well on 3 for 2 and had a 25% off voucher on my boots card. Soltan sunlotion had an offer on the kids stuff that if you spent £12 you got face suncream for free and had a 20% off suncream voucher.
Todays spends
M&S £8.00
Boots £24.23.
B&M £7.98
Wilko £5.00
lidl £71.32.
Primark £9.00 ( new brollie and Tshirts for work)
Total spend £125.53
Just waiting to see what the cost of the car is and then hopefully that should be it for spends this weekend, DH at work al weekend and DD is at work Saturday and DS sunday, so I shouldn't need to spend any more.
Postie had also left a parcel next door whilst I was out, 2 packs of yummy bagels to test, so that's tomorrows breakfast sorted.0 -
Always sounds spendy when you total it up doesn't it! Even when you know it's been stuff you need and you've made the best of the offers. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Morning.
So DH picked car up last night, had service and MOT which cost £185 so slightly under budget.
Had one of those afternoons yesterday I put some rice on to cook for tea (Chicken fried rice) and then went to do some banking and managed to get myself locked out of 1 of my online accounts so whist trying to sort that out I forgot about the rice until the smoke detectors starting blaring, kitchen and dining room full of smoke, tried to turn off the smoke alarm and take battery out and I managed to pull the whole thing off the ceiling taking plaster with it, rice was black and I think I have ruined one of my favourite pans, it is still soaking with washing powder in it but I think it will have to go in the bin and im still locked out of online banking:mad::(. So tea ended up being a stirfry with noodles but at least it was nice and healthy.
Did make £35 on ebay last night which has gone straight into savings and received £5 into paypal from greenjinn which has gone back into household account.
Plans for today are washing as its supposed to be a nice day and ebay listing and a general tidy up. DS has a cricket match but has got a lift to where they are playing (40 miles away) so I just need to drop him off at clubhouse.
All meals from stores today
breakfast - free cinnamon bagels toasted or cereal, fruit.
Lunch - eggs on toast, ham sandwich or cheese toastie with fruit, yogs etc,
Dinner - meal deal pizzas, veggie sticks and dip, sweet potato fries and brownie bites with ice cream.
Have a great day xx0 -
Oh no to the rice/banking/ceiling disaster!! Sounds like something I’d do

Thanks brizzle, can't wait for exams to be over and DD can start to enjoy summer.
Trying to keep focused with money and MSE, it's the control freak in me :rotfl:.0 -
Morning, £3 made overnight on £bay which has gone into savings, have a load of items to pack up but have listed 16 items over the weekend scheduled to go on tonight. Also have some bits ending tonight which currently have bids at £30.
DH has nipped out to get milk as we seem to have used loads since Friday, have asked him to put fuel in my car £25 which will save me a job in the morning on the way to work and give me 5 more minutes at home.
Grey rainy day so no washing out on the line, DD is busy revising and DH and DS are both out to work after lunch, so will just potter around this afternoon getting things in order as back to work tomorrow and its a 7 week term:(. I have already done 2 loads of washing 1 has been dried and put away, cleaned bathroom and bedroom, will hoover and mop once men have vacated the building as you can guarantee the minute I wash a floor they need something in that room and walk over it.
Meals all from stores -
Breakfast - poached eggs, bacon, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes and toast.
Light lunch - soup or salad.
Dinner - sausage, new potatoes, green beans and cauliflower, fruit and icecream for pud.
Off to start ebay packing.
