Oh my what a week, boiler problems at rental cottage so we had to have that fixed costing £180, Tv ariel is not working properly so cant watch TV until DH can have a look at it tomorrow and hopefully fix it,thank goodness the England rugby came had been cancelled as there would have been a riot. DH is full of cold and not sleeping therefore i'm not sleeping:mad:. Work has been manic but just 1 week to go until half term:D. DD has had a wobbly week with school and DS has managed to rack up another detention for not doing coursework:(.
Onto positives as above its nearly half term so a lovely week off. I have been given a carrier bag of potatoes and 1 of cooking apples so need to get them used up, Cheesy potato pie for tonights tea.
weekly shop came in at £80 between lidl, home bargains and booths.
Have managed to get out of an presentation event for DS as he is at a concert in Manchester, tickets cost £60 for 3 of us to go and then we wold have had to buy drinks there, Just sad that DS isn't there to get his award but he doesn't seem bothered at all.
£bay has been slow this week, have got a few more bits listed and they have watchers, hopefully once Halloween is over people will be looking for Christmas craft bits. Have managed to redeem £20 in M&S vouchers this week, not sure if i'm saving them for a new pair of boots or for Christmas.
Have a great weekend xx0 -
Morning, enjoying a cup of tea in peace, DH is still unwell and has kept me awake half the night, I might sleep on the sofa tonight. Does mean I have the first load in the washing machine, dishwasher is on and kitchen tidy, just need to mop the floor.
Cheesy pie was delicious, there is a couple of portions left over so going to have it for tea tonight as there is only 3 of us as DS is at work I will either eek it out with plenty of veg or there is a frozen pizza for anyone who doesn't fancy it. Need to do something with all the apples I will stew some for crumbles but will have a look for a recipes fancy something different.
DS has a Rugby match this morning not sure if i'm taking him or if DH feels up to it he might go, could do with DH taking him as I want to do some £bay listings and ironing. I might suggest to DH that the fresh air might do him good and make him a flask of milky coffee to take with him;).
Moneywise nothing new, no sales overnight but at least yesterday was a NSD, need fuel in my car today but shouldn't need anything else.

Morning pwps, I hope the boiler at the rental is now sorted and you don't have anymore problems.
Seems to be a lot of colds and sore throats going around at the mmomnet, my dd has now got it but ds and dh seem to have missed it this time. Definitely send dh out in the fresh air it does a world of good, I hated being stuck indoors this week.
Enjoy the cooking, I love apple anything.. crumble, pie, fritters - yum!

Hi huggle, yes lots of bugs at the minute, everytime Dh comes near me I tell him not to breath on me, I don't want any bugs for half term.0 -
Sold a BIN item on £bay for £15 which has been split between the 4 pots, listed a few more items, made mars bar crispie cake and stewed up most of the apples, made a crumble and have frozen the rest as I don't have the energy to do anything with it.
I have paid some bills, added money to the kids lunch accounts, put £25 of fuel in my car and hoovered through downstairs, stairs and landing. Washed 4 loads and still have at least 3 loads to go, using the dryer as it is so wet here. I have lit the woodburner so will get a load hung on the airer.0 -
Evening, Started the day off chirpy and bright which lasted until I got to work and then got told something that really peed me off and left me feeling used and undervalued, have managed to get out of my funk since getting home and given myself a talking to, i'm just going to let it go as its not worth getting upset about and I've only got 3 working days until I break up for half term.
Small sale of £5 overnight which has been split between the 4 pots. Nipped to the postoffice after work to post an £bay parcel so postage already covered, then nipped into booths for tea, milk and bread spent just over £5.0 -
Afternoon, that's me done at work for a week. lots of house jobs planned for next week which hopefully shouldn't cost much if anything as we have loads of paint in the garage.
I have £100 left in the grocery/fuel account which has to last to the end of the month i'm hoping that as i'm off all week we can eat from stores and I can cook from scratch and get some baking done.
Have also hit that mid month slump where not much is happening moneywise, made some small sales on ebay and split £15 between the 4 pots. Also trying to be frugal and make do and mend at home, mended 2 pairs of work trouser, they have hook and eyes and both had broken so I bought a pack of 10 off ebay for £2 and have been able to repair both pairs easily which has saved me at least £40 as I would have need to replace them with new ones:).
Also been stalking pinterest for cheap meals to make, Going to try and make a couple of batches of soup whilst off to put in the freezer for quick cheap lunches for me to take to work.
DS has had his grades from school not terrible but could be better, need to sit him down at a quiet time and have a chat about them, tonight is not the night as he is at work and will be tired and grumpy when he gets back.
Have a good weekend.0 -
Afternoon, lovely day out today but is feeling cool, I have just lit the woodburner and planning on catching up with some TV.
Rugby watched this morning and an ebay parcel wrapped got DH to post it on his way to work, also listed 7 ebay items whilst watching the rugby. I have 2 lots of soup bubbling away leek and potato and tomato and lentil, I have also made a batch of plum and red onion chutney to use up a load of plums no one was eating.
Small sale on ebay overnight meaning £2.50 has been sent to each pot.
DD needed picking up from school yesterday as she finished early so whilst out I went to lidl to do a top up shop £54 spent, will need to get some more fresh bits later in the week, tea tonight is chicken pie, mash and cauli cheese with fruit crumble for pud. Took some flatbreads out of the freezer can use these for sandwiches or for with soup tomorrow.0 -
