  • Morning,
Spent Sunday emptying DD bedroom which has been moved to my bedroom so that we could start decorating yesterday, she has gone from having a very bright pink room to white walls, 2 coats hasn't covered it so will be giving it another coat of paint today:eek: On the upside emptying her bedroom DD decided lots of bits of pieces could go as she wants a more grown up room, so lots of bits for the charity shop and £bay.

£bay sales over the weekend brought in £40 which has been split between the 4 pots.

DS bike has a puncture, think he needs a new inner tube as its happened a few times recently, will ask DH to have a look at it.

Not a very exciting day planned, quick post office run, fuel in car and then decorating.

I think we have got the walls covered it was hard to tell last night, will have a look this morning in daylight, then we can start putting the room back together again.
  • Morning.

Not much to update really, decorating continues and will hopefully be able to stat putting DD room back together today then we are going to start the living room on Friday again only painting so shouldn't be to bad.

Dentist this afternoon for DD and DS and will need to get fuel today as I didn't yesterday, also need fruit juice, bread and bin bags whilst out.
Small sale on £bay last night so 80p gone to each pot.

Started to think about Christmas food need to make a menu for Christmas day and Boxing day, I have decided to just do the same as last year which was bacon butties on Christmas morning, Christmas lunch will be a small turkey crown and lamb (I already have a leg of lamb in the freezer) tea time I will just put out a platter of cheeses and cold meats, chutneys In the kitchen and if anyone is hungry they can help themselves. Boxing day morning I only do a easy breakfast of croissants and pain au chocolates, means I can buy in advance and bung in the freezer and lunch will be HM soup and rolls and leftovers.
  • Not sure if anyone is interested but here is a link to join maximiles, I think we both get extra points through the link and surveys are pretty good and you get a good choice of things y0u can redeem points for.

  • White walls sound much more grown up than pink ones, I expect DD will be pleased with her room.

You're very organised thinking of Christmas menus already :).

  • Afternoon, last day of half term for me today, I;m in half day tomorrow for inset, family visiting tomorrow afternoon, dental appointment after work Thursday and then Hospital appointment Friday so a full on week.

Last Direct Debit have gone out of account this morning for this month and i'm now skint, DD was at the Dr this morning so popped into booths and spent my last £6 from grocery budget on milk, bread and tea.

So this month I have managed to save £52.34p into each pot and also paid that amount off MBNA cc from ebay sales, redeemed £37 in M&S vouchers from various survey sites, redeemed £10 cash into bank account and a £5 prepaid card. Treated myself to 2 items on ebay one was a book which arrived today and a Laura Ashley cushion which perfectly matches my living room and cost less than a fiver for both.

I need to do Novembers budget and write up some goals for the month.

Just shows how every little bit helps moneywise. That is a great amount for each pot this month. I need to seriously look at my spending and get back into the saving mode. This I will take a tip off you and write some goals down for November.
