If I may say, “work” should not be expecting you to be ok either.. especially if its the type of job I think it it.. please reach out for support from as many avenues as possible, friends.. family.. colleagues.. even the management at work (keep them informed) and get your GP on board too. Do not be afraid to say “I’m not ok”..

Still pottering on. I expected to be ok by 6 months on but not so much. I still see a Facebook post and think "oh my brother will like that" and I am dreading Christmas. I am better at pretending to be ok x0

Hun, grief is a sneaky sod. There are days when you'll be fine and other days when it will sneak up on you sideways, catch you unawares and knock you over. You can't predict it. You will be fine for years and it'll still catch you out unexpectedly. (Decades after my dad died, I found myself in tears in the Asda car park because of all the Father's Day promotions they were doing.)
Just be kind to yourself, accept it for what it is and remember that we don't stop loving someone, just because they aren't here.
