Hi guys! So basically the 'HR guy' went on and sent me 'my contract' via email now and he said I should take the position and it pays good and that it was offered to me and someone else out of 20 people in total! lol Anyway so I didnt reply!

But I wanted your opinion on this, the contract he sent looks like a normal, legit contract. This thing I wanted to point out is with regards to the £180 payment, this is how it is explained in the contract terms:

''Be advised that as an ISO 9001 quality compliant company we require that all of our office employees are ISO quality accredited. You may review our accreditation by opening the following link:-

As a condition of your employment you will be required to become ISO quality certified to level 1. You achieve this accreditation while working during your probation period. As a result, you will be required to pay £180.00 towards your accreditation which we will refund to you at the rate of £15.00 each week over your (12 week) probation period until you are fully reimbursed.''

Please can you tell me what you think of this? I mean does the explanation above make any !!!!ing sense to you, obviously some of you might be more experienced than me in these matters so I would like your opinion on this please?

Also as of now I have solid proof and I will forward it to the police...!

The ISO website suggests that the ISO 9000 family is the only family that can be certified, but that is only optional. I’m not sure how an individual is expected to become certified as such. I’ve only had a secondary involvement with ISO in the past, most of it seems to be about getting the organisation and it’s processes to comply. The spiel sounds like guff, but someone else might advise otherwise. That umpteen people have already come here and said that these guys shafted them would make me ultra wary.

It's a long way from perfect - because most people wouldn't entertain them at all. A bit like the Nigerian scams where you send someone £1000 legal fees to release £2000000 to you.

Our company achieved a specific level of ISO accreditation. I did some work on it, making sure we were compliant in certain areas. An assessor came and audited it, interviewing specific members of staff and checking our processes. None of the staff had individual accreditation, or paid anything. That was 6 or 7 years ago, but I doubt much has changed since then.

So to conclude ISO is a corporate accreditation rather than an individual one!!!

The annoying thing is that the guy that interviewed me was really laid back, wasnt nervous at all and acted perfectly normal when I was asking him questions about the company! great acting skills, could get him an Oscar.

If it wasnt for the initial post in the thread I would probably fall for that. I always want to research any company before the interview or before I sign contracts, so thank God I came across this website; dont think it was a coincidence!
