I also got scammed of £180 by them. Has anyone managed to get their money back?0

This happened to a mate of mine. Falling over themselves to offer him and another guy who'd turned up at the same time the job. Interview wasn't really much at all. The catch, you can start straight away, just need to buy the uniform...yep. He walked out. Funny thing is, quite a lot of hotels are hosting these things making them seem more legitimate in a way...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Does it not ring alarm bells when they say you will get it back in so many days. If they are giving it back on relatively quick time why do they need the money in the first place is what I would question.Mortgage free wannabe
Actual mortgage stating amount £75,150
Overpayment paused to pay off cc
Starting balance £66,565.45
Current balance £58,108
Cc around 8k.0 -

There are a low of websites like this around that target naive unemployed people.Warning signs such as asking for money upfront should make people wary.0

Unless you are applying for a job in the hotel, having a job interview in a hotel room is an absolute screaming red flag.
Same applies to investment (property "seminars", cryptocurrency, etc etc.) If somebody invites you to a hotel conference room and asks you to invest money, you are almost certainly being scammed.
I struggle to imagine how anyone could think that a job interview in a hotel room makes it seem more legitimate, unless the context is "more legitimate than a park bench".0 -
Is this scam? I’ve been at the interview at the hotel and they said they would call me for the Admin position; £180 would be the fee for the certifate which will be kid back to me.
Thank god I know now! But how can they be a scam they have their own website? This is too elaborate to be true?0 -

I wouldn't say hotel room, more a conference room which I think would be an appropriate place to recruit imoThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
