    Afternoon all

blimey its quiet on here today - whos the gobby missing ones i wonder:D

Had a lovely weekend with my sil and nephew - we ate and drank for Britain:j Nephew (14) did his driving afternoon at Oulton Park on Sunday - I was really impressed they taught him loads about safety and sensible driving (I was critisised all the way home:rolleyes: :D ) and they also let them loose to have a drive at 70 miles an hour on the circuit. good special pressy is any one needs one for an under 17

Today I have 6 men around the house:o :D:D :j :j :j 3 men doing the fence from the storm last year, 1 doing something in the kitchen  and 2 doing the hall stairs and landing .......................ahhhhhhh life is good:rotfl: maybe i could think of something to pump one of them about:D kitchen update is on the books when i recover;)

I really need to start thinking money saving again soon though at the moment I am positively haemorraghing moneyicon9.gif I think when its all done I will lock up and hibernate for a year to avoid any more house spends.

Tonight will be some soup and a very early night if I can get away with it - and it will be lovely to get the tv back under my control after a 14 year old dominating it for Guitar Heros (an awful game:eek: ) and sport:rolleyes:

Anyway best get on - hope you all have a lovely day
    Hugs Nels xx

    Afternoon everyone.
Well doing ok so far, done the food shopping, what a nightmare taking the kids with you, it took me twice as long and i was well stressed out afterwards, but its done now and have enough food in to last me until kids go back. Was dissapointed Mr T`s have stopped doing the 2 chickens for a fiver,so it cost me slightly more than normal.

Im on my 6th, yep 6th load of washing and getting on well.
Hope your all having good afternoons

  • Back from work, been to Lidls & my local butcher, lamb shank with mash & cabbage for tea, yummy.
Just gone to use my small top oven & it's not working, so need to have a look at it. The lodger popped it to collect the cake she left behind & she's left a bag of metal pan scourers on the draining board, I hope she's not intending using them on my non stick pans, I'll have to have a word. She does seem to burn most of what she cooks, lol. When she was making the topping for her cake she put double cream, sugar & coconut in a pan & it all boiled over. Still at least she cleaned up the mess.

    Hello everyone!

late in the day for me, but thats because if I so much as go near the comp these days the kids want to jump on straight away:rolleyes: and I'm trying not to have DS2 on it and the playstation as I have noticed that he has been squinting abit lately - also his teacher noticed too! So I have booked an appointment for an eye test - he's only 5!!!

Went to gym this morning and done my bit! then came back and got the kids and went back for the fun swim at 12.00! it gets them out and some exercise! plus mum gets water poured over her hair with the watering cans - very funny:rolleyes: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Went to lidls and got some leeks reduced to 64p and the alaska pollock is reduced to £1.99!, I want to get some of their xmas bits but not sure what stuff to get - there are 2 types of stollen? a favourina one and a boxed butter one - which is best does anyone know??

Hurrah, hurrah! The nice butcher has changed its opening hours/days, so I was able to get some lovely minced beef for the chilli. I'm going to do a large batch of spag bol too for the freezer!

  • Thanks to all who have welcolmed me. Good day today, anything is better than being at work. Have been to Tesco's with 6 year old, tied front garden, chicken curry in SC. Have looked at some courses at local college, mainly massage and reflexology, which would be part-time and I could give the NHS the boot. I don't know anyone who wants to work in it at present. otherwise it would mean travelling to a college 2-3 hours away. We shall see what happens.

    Night night:A

DD(22) is painting her bedroom and her sister(13) is helping her.

My 18 year old has gone back to university and my other 22 year old has commandeered the kitchen to make iced buns.

Made shepherd's pie for tea which seemed popular and spending some ime on here till I can get into the kitchen to do the dishes.

Found a site that does nice make up stuff so have ordered some for Christmas pressies - also ordered some books from Amazon.

Pigsback vouchers have arrived for Boots so will go on their Christmas shopping day this week and try to notch up the points.

Glad pennypincher is feeling a little better and also that Hester is getting a break from her lodger.

    Hugs to all

Going to brave the kitchen for a cup of tea.
