Morning all, just got up, I love half term :j DD is still in bed  , will leave her for a while. Our roast beef yesterday was terrible, so tough we just could not eat it, the dog ended up doing well out of it  .

Plans for today are to have a quick swipe roung this morning, not much washing to do, unless there is a huge pile lurking in DD room, which there normally is. Then we are off to matlan this morning, DD needs new underwear, and I was going to price up the duvets, there is a Lidl next door so may pop in there too. Need to do an internet shop later, but that does not take me long now.
Might spend this arvo, on the sofa watching a dvd with dd, and some sweets, :j .

Cottage pie for tea from freezer, I made two last week so only have to do the veg.

Charlies mum, glad you are back safe and had a great trip, I have things on ebay which I paid for on 11th October, and still have not recieved, I have just put it down to the post strike

Crazeychick, my DD always had to wear clother 3 years older than she was, she is now a very tall (beautiful) 12 yr old, going on 20

jannyannie, welcome, :hello: you will love it here xx
VIJ, hope you feel better soon hugs
vickya, good luck to your oh x

hilstep,I live in Littlehampton too, don't go to the fireworks as I don't like them much, but DD goes with her dad,

stefejb, enjoy you trip, and don't worry everything will be fine xx

well better be off and do some jobs enjoy Monday xxx

    Good morning everyone,

Rzl - glad PP is putting on weight, hope she is ok, send our love to her!!!

Penpen - glad you had a lovely weekend

Charlies mum - glad you had a lovely holiday, was the dolphins at Discovery cove? We loved it there, would love to go back one day!!!

Vicky - hope PH has a good first day at work!

Churchmouse - Hope you had a lovely anniversary and weekend away.

Taplady - how is your wrist now?

((HUGS)) to anyone ive missed, who needs or just wants one!!!

All as normal here, not half term until next week, although over the bridge in Plymouth it is - not sure why its different here tho!!!

Nothing exciting happening here at all, been working all hours, but need to with xmas coming so quickly and now im looking after babies again, have 2 on different days, one who is staying with me, and one im just helping out with, he will be going elsewhere in November as i dont have a space for him (only allowed 1 under one). Its a shame, cos i need an extra one, but took the first baby on, as he will be doing more hours from January, and i couldnt afford not to have him for the reduced hours until then. I didnt know if i would get another enquiry, of course, a month later i do get a call, but that was the risk i had to take, and at least im getting a bit extra for October while she arranges a different childminder. And i do have more hours from the original one from Jan, so hopefully things will be looking up in the new year - just hope there will be enough extra hours, but we will see!!!

Had a couple of small wins last week, a dvd on rugby, and some shoe insoles:rolleyes::confused: , but nothing close to the laptop yet - im hoping for cash or a car next (i did enter a comp for an organic xmas turkey a while back, and must admit, i really really would like to win that one:p !!!)

I think thats prob all from me, going to play with the LO now (baby is asleep, bless him) hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all
Struggling with self inflicted injury (or hangover as its more commonly known). Weel OS idea Friday went down pan- DS went to Yoofclub and friends treated us to Chinese :T . had to keep some or the little perisher though!!
Got lumbered with getting a leaving pressy so spent ages Saturday in Argos:mad: Why do they only ever have one person on the till? What do you get a bloke with absolutely no interests.. eventually plumped on one of those digital photoframe thingys..should be of some use as he has family in Australia now.

Was gonna have a bash at something differnt but DS spend most Sat night in loo and most Sunday in bed so abandoned that idea. Ended up with a casserole.
Spent ages in garden trying to get ivy of the pear tree.. its smothering it.. wouldn't mind but its next doors ivy. Can't shout too much as they are new in, and the problem has been there from the previous people. Will have a quiet word when we get to know them better. Poor pear tree is looking very odd now as I could only reach so far and was too lazy to get a ladder out.

    Have a good day

    PS found the smileys:p
  • Good morning everyone, I'm on holiday from work this week and it was absolute bliss to get up this morning and know I don't have to go to work.

I am very lucky in that I always sleep like a log but the last 2 nights have been terrible, I seem to just doze all night - then it hit me - I bought cold medication on Saturday NON DROWSY !!! I will not take any today and see if that helps.

Yesterday I went shopping to treat myself with some vouchers I was given for my birthday, ended up coming home with the vouchers but spent a fortune and completely finished xmas shopping for 5 of my nearest and dearest! I just kept seeing things that were perfect for my family but unfortunately nothing for myself.

Today I am going to organise xmas gift cupboard and list what I still need to buy - hoping that by the end of this week all xmas gift shopping should be done.

I also need to get quotes for car insurance - due beginning of November - so I shall try these internet comparison sites.

Dinner today is sausage casserole and mixed veg mash (potatoes, carrots and swede cooked together then mashed). Really nice and saves on the electricity.

    Have a great day everyone.

Morning all…..(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))) to those who need one, happy birthday if its yours……….

Dull cold morning, the beginnings of the sun shining, just a slight bright light on the camera stand outside on the road..

I did an on line order for Tesco last night, got £10 off although the delivery charge has gone up……so just now my bill stands at £44.00. I need to do a freezer audit to see what I have in there before I go meat shopping for next month. I had a good day meat wise at Tesco when I popped in for envelopes for empty ink cartridges……bought enough meat and sausages for 8 meals……….I have a chicken and pork chops fish etc, so hopefully this will be cheap month meat wise. The winter is coming, so cheese pie, stovies, etc on the menu now although we do still have salad at least once a week through the winter.

OH was very restless last night so did not sleep so well, I think he was dreaming……I dug him in the ribs at one stage to make him turn over, but really did not make a difference, was just thinking about getting up when he stopped.

Nothing really planned for this week, I need to go into town at some stage this week…..some bits I cannot get locally.

Right I am off for another cuppa……….and maybe try a cake in the new combi micro……I have a lemon in the fridge, so maybe a lemon drizzle cake?????
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

have had a lazy morning and didn't get up till 9.30:eek: :D I slept badly then had to get DH up at 5.50am then DS1 at 7.20 so decided to go back for a treat!- had my porridge in bed while reading my book! - bliss:D

DS1 has started his new job today in Worcester, quite a drive but he's very keen as its his ideal job in computers and radio.DH gave his car a check over yesterday to make sure all was ok and I bought him a scraper and some de-icer.
DS2 still in bed, wants me to straighten his hair when he eventually gets up.Tonight he's off the the West Midlans Safari Park to the Glow in the Dark - fireworks and lights in the park plus a go on all the rides!

VickyA - hope all goes well for your DHs new job

HardupHester - you're very talented, those gift baskets, quilt, scarves etc are fab!

    Jannyannie - welcome:hello:

Mioliere - (((hugs))) re MIL, how is she doing?

Catowen - thanks for asking about my wrist, its a lot better now, had a bit of a fright last week as I overdid it and it was really sore and swollen again so I've eased off a bit and it seems ok now, still got another week off work yet to make sure its properly mended. Have put the Jodi Picoult book aside for now but have also been given another of hers called Mercy, not started it yet. You are doing really well with your wins!:T
