Good morning everyone :hello:
I didn't mean to be up this early, but for some strange reason I've been feeling REALLY icky (no, definitely not pregnant). I can only put it down to the fact that DH is starting his brand new job today and I've got all his nerves!!!He was really calm when he set off.....
I've got stacks of washing to do today. What joy! That will be coupled with lots of ironing too. At least I can do that in front of the tv! I've also got a long list of things to do in town, so I'll wander down there later. The best butcher isn't open on a Monday, so I might have to go to the second best one (that has won prizes too, aren't we lucky!) and get some minced beef for a chilli tonight. I think that DH needs a treat after his first day. This is only the second company that he's worked for since leaving university 11 years ago - even though he had a career break and went back to uni to do a masters, he still went back!!!
Anyway, I'd better have a shower and do something semi-constructive!

what a start to the week.
Im off sick with this wretched flu bug meaning I may not hit my commision target this month and I wont get paid for time off so gonna be really broke next month.
OH also prob off sick which makes life difficult.
I have found out that someone who I believed to be a friend has told me my OH and some other friends an extensive web of lies and now dont know if she needs help or if I should tell her I know she has been lying and stay well away. I have dropped an email to her OH to see if we can meet up and talk these things though but I really dont know what to do here, it not good.
sorry for the rant. Im off to phone in sick and get the lecture from my work.0 -

He didn't say why, I suppose I'll have to pump him for that.
Will let you know, when I find out.
Crikey! Life on your island sounds exciting. Are you really going to pump the postman? I know we like to hear all your gossip, but leave the poor man alone!

Morning everyone,
Sorry to hear so many feeling poorly today - hope the week improves for you.
Well, OH is home today so he has taken DS1 to work today for a change. Actually DS1 is wanting to get some practice in before his driving test and has just insured his car, so he's driving. Am so glad that I don't have to sit beside him as I'm sure to make him nervous. (Am such a whimp in a car if I'm not driving).
Busy day today as DS2 has a hospital appointment and we need to drive over and pick up our new car today. So excited. :j Then we have to go to my parents afterwards before getting DS1 again. Need to pack in loads of houswork inbetween as the house has become a hovel over the weekend.
Not looked out my menu plan for this week yet but must get that printed on the wall for later and will have to make time to make the lovely 'chocolate chip forked cookies' that I found on the mega menu and my lads have fallen in love with.

Hi everyone
I've never posted on here before, though have read it a few times. It's half-term here and for once my OH and I have got a week off together. Usually we have to split all our days off and holidays due to childcare. Not good for your relationship. He's still asleep, when he gets up I'm going out for a run. Am really enjoying not being organised for once. :j
Suppose I'll have to go food shopping at some stage. Hope to spend this week pondering over how I can escape from the NHS for good. It really is as dire as the media says!
Have a good day;) x0 -

PenPen. Glad your birthday went so well. Enjoy Edinburgh and hopefully I'll get to see you next time.
Charlie's mum. Welcome back
CrazyChik. I had a night like that too. Hope you get a better one tonight.
Welcome Jannyannie :hello:
Cheerfulness...Enjoy your new car.
Vicky. Fingers crossed for OH.
DLB. Enjoy your shopping.
Where's Chalky??
Well the girls have gone back to school and the house feels very quiet. I'm working from home today as OH has a tonne of stuff for me to do but with a rubbish nights sleep I didn't feel like dolling myself up enough to go to the office.
We had a quiet weekend with him up to his uxters in poo trying to fix the drains. (I supervised)
Last night I replaced the bulb in the living room (which we hardly every use)and discovered that OH had put the switch on upside down when he replaced them. He duly fixed it but when I came down this morning I switched it on a blew all the lights in the house. Tried to flick the trip switch and was left looking a bit like this  . So getting ready in the dark was fun but all fixed now.
He was a bit of a disaster this weekend. He unpacked the shopping for me from the car. When I was putting it away I noticed that there was a bag of cooking aples missing. By this stage he had gone out in the car. When he returned he was muttering about people being wasteful cos he'd driven over a bag of appples in the road.
So all is calm this morning now he's gone to work.
Carbonara for tea and a bit of baking if I [strike]can be bothered[/strike] fit it in.
Have a good Monday

Morning All
Had a very expensive weekend, so really got to tighten my belt again now. Had a night out on Friday and got stung paying for things that weren't mine, then Saturday I was working (for nothing) then yesterday went to lunch with sis and a friend.
Had another big fall out with Mum so really hoping I'll get some news on my flat soon as I really do need to move out and get some space between us. She's just turned really nasty with both me and my sister. I think she wants us out of her life.
Off to do my archerfish clicks in a minute, along with pigsback and cashbag. Checked lightspeed and not sure what vouchers to order from there.
Going to pay some money into my PIN account later. Mustn't forget to do that after work.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all,
Feels a bit nippy here again.I've got an extra jumper on.
We had DS's birthday present to sort out last week. It was his first birthday away from home(his 19th) and ofcourse the posties were on strike. We sent it by courier in the end. A big fat square parcel.
Hubby insisted on sending a little cake, biscuits, choc bars ,some pies and a Costa card(loaded).. He cant imagine anyone having a birthday without lots of sweet goodies:P
I put in 2 new tops with long sleeves (its cold up there)and a TV series he likes(no TV there),he can watch the series on his Laptop.DD sent him some Music.
DD home since last Wed. She enjoys the freedom (she homeschooled previously but is doing A levels at 6th form now),she has dyed her hair and is slobbing around in jeans, staying up all night etc. She still manages to get all her homework done though(she is an angel in disguise LOL).
Yesterday we went to Ikea to order some cupboards for the dining room now OH has finished putting down the floor. For some reason it was less crowded than usual and actually not a long wait (the worst bit) at checkout.
I have been charity shopping and found an embroidery stand which will be ideal for my sister for christmas:T .
well best get on,I haven't even been downstairs yet!
all the best
