DW emptied and refilled... there is enough for a third run!!!

Replaced broken broom handle so I can sweep the kitchen properly.. but then I swept webs off the ceiling so the broom nw looks like webby floss for an ogre! I hate webs.. where do they all come from? (other than spider butts!) I only swept them a couple of weeks ago and it looks like a cave!

Twinkle being utterly vile today.. following me around screaming and making mess and breaking things.. I am really short on patience today and do not need this hassle. I will do her some lunch then she can be placed unceremoniously in her pushchair for a nap.

I need to fold dry laundry so I have to move the wet stuff to a sofa.. wipe the kitchen table, clear the airers, doors and radiators of dry stuff and then I can hang up the wet stuff.. and then fold the remainder of the dry stuff.

IF.. monster chops goes for a nap I want to mop the toilet and bathroom floors.. they are pretty gross.. and wash my hair (also gross) and maybe eat food.. because I am starving.

I need to discover the means for burning CD's too.. I need a few tracks stuffing on one but my taplop has no disc drive... makes it difficult.

Slinky checking in to report a 3lb loss :j I have been super strict this week and it shows. I have officially met my 28lb target :j but will keep going as there is more to lose.

Fantastically well done, ATB! I have lost nothing since stopping the major sugarbinges and cheese-eating. I'm afraid it may be to do with age, and I'll have to be superstrict with myself which I never used to need to be.

Whiz Whippet does too though and I often find him snuffling around on the grass underneath the feeders and chomping up the food that the birds dropped!

Kelpie tries to surreptisiously nip back on dogwalks to hoover up the squashed fatball element of the food I scatter for robins and blackbirds. No wonder his weight creeps up every week.

If you've never read this, I heartily recommend it.

Morning spent tidying up, in an H2H way. The sundeck looks a lot better, and I've listed the rabbit hutch and hostess trolley on Gumtree. If they don't go within a week the hutch can go to one of the local rescues and the hostess trolley to the local British Heart Foundation. I hope both will collect.

Another load through the WM and pegged out because it's sunny and warming up here, although still quite nippy. Now back to paperwork. I will clear this pile; it's been over a week and I'm nearly there.
    Better is good enough.

Just done 45 mins of H2H by sorting out filing - it was sprawled everywhere on my desk so feeling more in control and also got a few pieces of post to deal with and put in diary.

Ionafan sorry to hear course not been useful. Your time is going quickly on the course.
Thanks Mumof2. It's only this particular module that has been so difficult to understand (the one in the first half of term did not feel much better at the time, but actually I find now that I can remember some of what we did, which is at least a step in the right direction). I think it's the fact that the lecturers launch into a subject which is familiar to them without considering where the students are by comparison, and so we have floundered from Week 1.

Everything accomplished off my list except the actual flying! But I have to go out now and buy petrol on my way into the city.

Will catch up tonight, if I can stay awake long enough!

Thanks for the kind Slinky wishes guys, feeling chuffed with self. I've broken a lot of bad habits and that feels good. I think it is also helped by the fact that I feel so out of control of so many things at the minute, it's nice to feel in control of something!

Paid stuff done, two dog walks done, WM x2, TD x1 (naughty ATB but it didn't dry on the line and I just want it away!), DW done, kiddies bathed and eating spag bol. Also dropped a bag of stuff at the charity shop and returned DDs library book.

    No spend day :j

  • I am STARRRRRRRVVVVINNNNNNNNNGGGGGG.

Full on event for work. At which I was amazing (not that anybody would notice, but they'd notice pretty sharpish if I were to be rubbish or absent )

Staggered home, had to get Himself to take my coat off for me and am not 100% convinced that I will be able to get back up to even go to bed.

I've had to ask him to start cooking tea, as he was apparently prepared to spend the next few hours on his laptop - if I hadn't said more than 'I'm really hungry', I expect he'd still be there (tea varies between 5.30 and half eleven here, depending on when he feels like doing it/remembers that I need to eat.

He has, however, cleaned the living room, which is nice - he may have cleaned other rooms, but I haven't had the physical ability to go and look.

    But I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYY!

I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    One of my favourite musicals!

Well done ATB you have done brilliantly.

I've been reasonably pleased with today so far (and remember I'm a night owl so there will be more activity later!):
    - went to zumba and did 10 mins on treadmill first having arrived specially early.
    - weather was sunny enough to persuade MIL to come out for a walk, there is a nice circuit from her flat next to the river then back down the high street via Mr T. Checked all her tablets, watched her put washing machine on (she forgets the settings sometimes), discussed what she is having for lunch/dinner.
    - filled bird feeder.
    - strolled round garden to see what is going on. Yuk 2 large dead frogs in front pond. Back garden pond still had ice on it. Lots of things looking spring-like but I'm very late sowing seeds, although the weather is so unpredictable here in the east that I often do them all at Easter.
    - bathroom is reasonable, got a head start on it yesterday
    - made a doctor's appointment for Mr N. Seems I was lucky yesterday ringing and 9am and getting 11.10 - they couldn't offer him anything until Monday although suggested that he rings on Thurs for cancellations.
-MAD hour what I've 'wanted' to do for ages: empty and sort my sock drawer and the under-bed box I keep all my gym clothes in. I decided as socks don't need much thought/take up much space (unless you have seemingly millions like I have; many of them red free-with-your-flight socks) they would be better off in the box under the bed. As I use gym clothes regularly they are now much easier to get at in the drawer. I did quite a lot of flinging, although couldn't bear to part with a few gym items I remember buying with pride when I lost weight for my 50th.....seems a trend going on here and this decade has gone in the wrong direction.
    - written the bulk of a report. Need to do the conclusion and recommendations so aim to finish it this eve.
    - put dry clothes away.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
