:hello: hello Kazwookie, she made me jump out of my skin. If i had a tail it'd be like a bottle brush still. Hope you are enjoying your freedom?

I was very lucky and had three (three! Just like buses!) bunches of nice flowers in the last week of Feb, chopping the bottom of the stems and using flower food in new water weekly is really paying off. Just merged the last good flowers into a single vase full which should do another few days. Surprisingly the dry packed, sent through the post letterbox ones from Bl00m and W4ld have lasted better than the expensive hand tied in water bag intafl0ra ones. Also tidied the potted herbs and cyclamen on the sink window ledge so now my hands smell gloriously of mint.

Big crash from the kitchen, dashed to see and it is little cat trying to get the fluffy duster off the back of the boiler cupboard door :rotfl:

Right, the DW should be finished, time to empty and re-fill it then I can crack on with the work tops.

    Hi Hex2!!

Managed to vacuum downstairs - can't believe how much stuff gets shifted so had to tip out container half way through! Put dishes in DW and topped up bird feeders for our little garden birds who are so desperate for food. Off out now; will check in later. Once again, considering I've done nothing for best part of a fortnight this may be small steps but it's all steps and that's what counts (or that's what I'm telling myself).

There are some classy people in this country.. sending 400 schools and colleges bomb threats.. !!!!!! is wrong with them? Scaring little children like that.. it is sick.. they should shoot them when they get hold of them!

I have stuck on the 2 bathroom tiles which had come off.. then I got carried away regrouted half the bathroom and pulled off the window trim in the loo and filled the huge gap underneath it and stuck it back down.. it was incredibly draughty!! I can't do with draughts! It is far too cold! Anyway.. that decluttered a tub of filler and half a tub of tile adhesive.. and my bathroom looks complete again. I need to gloss in there when I get someone to watch Twinkle.. or when they are all in bed one evening.. might do it tonight actually.. OH won't be home until gone midnight and it won't take long.

Twinkle is wearing her coat in the house it is so cold in here.. it is up to 16.8'C now! better than the 15 it was this morning!

Lunch scoffed.. DS2 home and he is transferring his board money.. that can go on a freezer filling food shop I think

Prescription ordered; lunch munched; phone call received from Lorna to cancel this afternoon's meet - so instead of shower, wash hair, get changed & go out, I can carry on flying :T

    Round 3 =
    1. recycle cardboard box
    2. WUDUPA bowl of pots
    3. wash new plates*
    4. sort crockery for cs*
    5. 15 minutes bumbling
    6. coffee

    * That'll be something to cross off my Toots list - :T

    Back later.

Back from a morning at work. The sun is out now, so I'm crossing everything for a quick thaw and dry so that tomorrow we can all get on with being where we need to be, doing what we have to do. It is going to take some sunshine to get the huge drifts melted though.

I'm glad it's the kitchen and I'm going to try to stay on list, as the whole house is a tip. The builders are due back on Wednesday for a couple of days to (hopefully) finish off, so there's no point doing too much before then. So I keep telling myself anyway... Plus DD and DH were both at home this morning, so the kitchen could do with a clean and not the cursory wipe that they may or may not have given it.

Mumof2 - a beautiful horse. I'm not going to show DD as that will start the " can I have one" debate again! No, no and more no!

I just need to mop the floor for the kitchen to be finished but will do that at bedtime as the slush means paw prints everywhere. Cleaned the (new) microwave but noticed that this one pools even more water than the old one. The vents are on the sides so not blocked and I leave the door open after I have used it but v frustrating as it will just flake and rust like the old one.

    :hello: hello mumof2
roundtuit, I was looking at my PMs earlier, and found the last one toots sent me, made me smile. I still have things on my toots list from then which is shameful.

I think I might have read the wrong meaning to that :rotfl: So glad you're feeling more positive, hun.

Kitchen and utility surfaces wiped and crumbs removed. Cupboard fronts etc wiped. Floors swept, dead flies  swept up too, floors mopped. Downstairs cloakroom given a S&S, swept and mopped. It's all looking better than it has for a few weeks. Towels washed and hanging up in the sunny utility room.

Hex2 I think you need to buy your cats their own feather duster thingy!!

I am enjoying in new freedom, :) it so far feels no different! on the plus side, I have just made a list of all local events that are going on, especially at weekends as I can now go to them if I want, (date / type/ price/ etc) blimey since when have local fetes charges £15 to get in........that one is off my list, but I have booked a local craft fair stall (£6) so I can sell some stuff I have hanging around, I have rung them and checked they are happy with this and they are.
Found a local classic car rally for Sunday, free of charge entry, car rallys are not really my sort of thing, but it is local to me, it will be good for slinky walk round.
I am sure I will find more as time goes on.

Most of the snow has now gone, my daffs are all bent and damaged, I'll leave them until tomorrow in case they 'stand back up' if not I'll pick the lot and bring them inside.

Kitchen draw sorted out, rubbish dumped / re homed etc it now actually closes.

    Mumof2 what a beautiful horse!

(((HUGS))) to all those like me with the Anxiety Gremlin in residence.

I have *gulp* just done a Spring Cleaning List. It's H-U-G-E. And it's still not as thorough as I'd have done before I became disabled.
I suspect it may take several months to get through, but I really, really want to do this, as it's just bugging me that we only really shift the dirt we can see and easily access. It'll be my first attempt at a Spring Clean since Mr LW retired, so gods alone know how it's going to go with him underfoot.:eek::eek:
Oh shut up Wolfy, you'll make yourself more anxious again.....

We do, however, have FLINGAGE. :T:T:T
Huge amount of packaging that the dehydrator came in taken to tip, along with assorted dead electricals; so that's a bit of space in the shed.

Almost-new hedge trimmer (actually about 25 years old, but been used just twice) rehomed to NDN who has a hedge to cut (we do not; just the Ancient Hedge at the back, which neither of us can safely access, and we have a chap in to do). I thought of trying to flog it on EBeast - for all of 5 seconds. No, I can do without the extra stress of EBeasting stuff, if NDN can make use of it, he can have it with my blessing. :T
