Thanks all, Tom is better and has gone to nursery today but dd has fallen over in the playground and hurt her face so she is at nursery too! Little monkies xx

I'm off to do a mystery shop in a bit, then back home to tidy up this wreck of a house.

I've done my online shop today and used mysupermarket via ipoints for the first time, what a fab website I will definitely be using every week now. I also got a voucher code from the boards so saved £7.50 which will go straight in the OP pot. I also saved £2 using a voucher yesterday, amazing how it builds up.

Pay day tomorrow but I won't get my pay slip until I pop into work on Monday so I can't work out my extra money until then, teaching claim for next month will also be late as should have been in today but I'm not at work (A/L). Nevermind I think it should be OK.

Some extra pennies hopefully coming our way over the next few months, dh is joining the TA - he went to have a look at the local center and loved it so will do a test and interview next week. He's been wanting to get back into something like this for a long time, as an ex-soldier he loves all that discipline and routine. Extra benefits apart from the pay are that he can do loads of training courses so this would be useful in civvy street too. He's got a beaming smile at the mo :D.

    See you later Ev x

Mortgage statement arrived today, not much progress due to no overpayments in that period. More incentive to increase overpayments, now what else can I do?.

Paid mortgage today so have added regular secured loan payment to my total. I've also worked out that the current payments have reduced the end date for that part of the mortgage from 02/2031 to 12/2029! I think I need to bring that down quite a bit!

Thanks Stuart, I am positive but eager to bring it down.

Went for my eye test today, saved £10 with voucher so that is going in OP fund. Also I don't need new glasses as change is very minimal - just debating whether to put the money I would have spent on the glasses in the pot too, seems a good thing to do! :D

Also I showed dh how much we were saving on interest and the term by overpaying and he was really suprised, I need to do this regularly to remind him how much of a good thing it is.

Edit: New glasses would have cost £30 so definitely going to put that in the pot. Also I've sold a book on Amazon and have another listed. Some vouchers need putting on ebay too.

    Hi all,

I've been poorly again due to ds not sleeping so that has made me run down, I thought my nose would explode at one point due to the pressure in my sinuses!

    Anyway back to business now.

£130 overpayment to be sent today and should get some more fees in from mystery shops in the next couple of weeks. I've also got quite a few shops booked over the Easter hols as I won't be teaching for the two weeks. Dh has also been getting some overtime at the weekends.

Not much else happening as whole family has been poorly so getting back to normal now. Need to sort out the garden and look at veggies to grow this year.
