After reading Emmacw's post about the brilliant MFreedom I realised that I have been slacking in certain areas regarding putting in money left over from the budgeted payments e.g. food, petrol, phone etc. so must make a more determined effort to transfer even the fewest pennies.

Received letter from mort comp that rate on the secure part has reduced again, so must make sure that I still keep paying the original amount. I'm actually looking forward to July when the SVR kicks in, lets hope interest rates don't shoot up!

I also got a cheque from a survey site so another £34.55 to add to this months overpayment pot. Can't wait until next week when I'm clearer about how much I can send. :j

I've also been asked to do more teaching hours but as it will be on a Friday I would have to send kids to childminder, so I need to find out whether I would be paid the full extra money as currently on A/L Fridays otherwise I wouldn't earn enough to cover the extra expense.

Busy with other things in life, but feeling that I'm actually getting sorted, went to dentist yesterday (free as still within 12 months of having baby!) had a filling :o, opticians appt next Saturday (using voucher for test) and going through Quidco/Glasses Direct to get new pair, Chiropractor fees on going but definitely worth it, have 2 kids parties this weekend (egg sandwiches and crisps galore!), running going well. And somewhere fit in work, mystery shops, looking after kids .....no wonder I'm sleeping well. :D

Have to pay for windows today, so will find out how much he's knocked off the price.

Have a good day everyone, sun is shining here x

Stuart I do believe you are on holiday, I'm not I'm still working. So don't feel guilty about taking time for yourself!

My own time is when I'm running, it's a pleasure to just be myself and run along the beach.
  • You get to run on the beach?! Oh! I'm soooo jealous. I love the sea, I used to live near the coast, but now I don't think I could get further away from the sea if I tried!

Hi all, currently at home with a poorly baby - little thing has had a cold all week, plus diarrhoea, a cough and sticky eyes. He hasn't been sleeping well so I've been up with him for a couple of nights.

Still it's meant that I can catch up on some paperwork!

Just about to write a cheque for this months overpayment, not as much as I thought but I think a lot of mystery shop payments will arrive next month. So sending £94.01 - oh sod it I'll send £100!

I might send another cheque mid-month as some other payments expected. Not happy with Quidco, they've declined a transaction worth £60 no explanation so I've queried that.

I get paid on Friday so I'll see how much extra teaching pennies have brought me - only to pay on Chiro fees .

    Hope everyone well Ev x

Currently our house is a short walk from a major (navigable river) but here in East Anglia we're 50 miles from the coast at the moment but only 15m above sea level; anticipate having a sea view from this very same house by the time we retire if sea levels rise as predicted :eek:
