Hi everyone, not sure what's wrong with me lately but feeling a bit jaded and have no drive to do anything. Today I also have a sore throat, headache and generally feeling run down.

i know how you feel ev....i came down with a cold and in the time leading up to it i felt really despondent and fed up....perhaps how your feeling has more to do with your physical health than anything else..._pale_

Feeling sorry for myself as at home with baby, which I know I should appreciate every moment as will be back at work soon, but no-one to have a laugh with as still getting to know people up here. I hate talking to other mums sometimes as all they talk about is kids, that's great but hey there's more out there to talk about!.

i couldn't bear the constant talk of nappies and milestones when my babies were young :wall: ...i used to avoid all the playground 'keeping up with the jones's' mums too...you will soon be back to your normal self and will get to know lots of people...then you will end up with people 'dropping in' at all sorts of times (generally the most inconvenient!!) and wish you had some peace!!:D

we all need some breathing space from time to time...don't worry about your
post...not depressing at all, that is what we are here for....

hope you feel better soon x

Sorry totally depressing post, ignore me I'll feel better soon. Ev x

Looking after a toddler & a baby is as exhausting as life ever gets. It's the most fantastic time but also the most knackering. It's also hard to look after yourself health wise . When our kids were small Mr SMF2 ended up with a cold turning to pleurisy:eek: - did I ever tell you that our kids never slept through the night for years and that we never got a night sleep for four and a half years....*oh I've mentioned that before have I* Tee Hee.... I know you want to go back to work for a rest....at least you'll get a tea break and a lunch hour:rotfl::rotfl:
  • hi ev...just thought i would pop in and see if you are feeling better today...sending you hugs ...:grouphug:

:hello:Hi everyone, thankyou for all the posts.

Well I knew something wasn't right with me - I've had a stinking cold all week and still not 100%, damn cough, sore throat, runny nose. On top of that not sleeping and still having to feed the baby during the night. So not a great few days health wise. I've also had a secondary health issue but I won't go into that as not serious and is just my body getting back to normal after having the baby!

I will catch up on all your diaries over the day, hope you are all OK.

On the money front, I did manage to book our accomodation for when we go to Bedford in April - finally got on to the Travelodge website this morning and got a family room for 4nights a grand total of £77 :j.

    Hi all,

Haven't posted for a while, feeling better just a cough still to shift although it's a bit better today - my back is hurting from the constant coughing.

Hubbies payday today so need to update accounts, hopefully I'll be able to put some in the windows fund. I have a mystery shop at lunch time, very easy one so won't be to difficult to put in.

I've been buying Xmas prezzies using vouchers, I won an Amazon voucher last night so another one to order.

All ok otherwise, off to catch up a bit more.
