    OK ladies which of the following options should I do for DD1 5th birthday. The actual day is the 18th so party will have to be on the following saturday 22nd Dec.

    1. Hire hall (£25) do own party food (£30??), Party bags £30, prizes £10 for about 30 guests.

    Or

    2. Book party at soft-play place, min no 10 £8.95 per head. Included hot meal & Ice cream, squash throughout, activity packs and balloon for kids to take home (plus group photo).

    The main thing worrying me is as it is so near xmas having 30 parents turn up and dump their kids on me and DH whilst they go do last minute shopping etc and come to pick up late. So I am leaning to the 10 kids and someone else do all the work option - lol!

    What do you think?

    Shell.. option 2... My daughters birthday is the 19th.. I sympathise.. mine is 7 this year though! And I have 2 in November (17th and 25th)

    Shell who would you invite to the soft play one? If you limit it, go for it, too close to Christmas for hassle!

    Get them to wash the car, or polish the drive or weed the garden or something! DS2 is napping so sadly I can not do anything upstairs.

    Pigpen is that dirty stuff or to be ironed? No wonder you have 2 WM & TD's!!!

    The excuse I made looks pathetic even to me, so away to do something upstairs. If I'm not back in an hour, I lived fast and died under a pile of junk!
