Well the pan of attack here today is:

    Pack ebay parcels and post
    Take plastic recycling
Choose and take flowers to DH
Go to bank and pay cheques in as not at work this week
Find the lounge and hall floors
Go down to mum's as Aunt is coming to visit today
    Meeting this afternoon

    Better get to it!

    Morning all

Yesterday I changed my bed because it was a good drying day but I didn't do anything else at all. Just moped about all day feeling sorry for myself.

But today I'm a little less Eeyore.

Dusted and vacuumed all the bedrooms. Cleaned bathroom and toilet and washed floors.

    Vacuumed landing and stairs.

S & Sd kitchen and vacuumed floor. Gave the sink a really good clean and it is shiny.

Dusted and vacuumed living room and hallway.

I do feel better for doing it, but yesterday it was just impossible.

Hope things are going better for you and DH Vanilla. And anyone else who is having problems or just feeling gloomy like me.

Afternoon all. Really finding it hard to stick to the list this week but I have:

    Put away yesterday's laundry
    Put wash on the line
    Stripped DS3 bed
Got DS3 to try on all his long sleeved tops - oh dear wardrobe is now nearly empty - he has on long sleeved thermal vest with Tshirt over it!
Huge bag to drop off at a friend now and need to go in the loft to get down box of clothes to see what will be suitable.

Been to lottie and harvested gourds and a massive green pumpkin.
Picked up loads of windfall apples to blanch and freeze

We need lunch now (hardly any food in) before a friend comes round for a cuppa with her kids.

I'm not supposed to be here...we have nothing to eat in the house, and it's nearly lunchtime! Must must go shopping!

I've already vacuumed the livingroom, but that's it. Still feeling under the weather. If this is a cold, then it's taking its time arriving.

Pollybear - I get days like that, and I just have to wait for it to pass...Treat yourself to something nice!

Michelle - thank you for the extra details. I know practically nothing about being in special measures, so off to read up on the TES website. It sounds extremely odd that you are categorised as new to the school. Maternity leave isn't regarded as a break in service in any other way.I would have thought that you started again from where you were. It may be worth asking a union rep if you have one - I think you said that you had. In any case, you, your family and the baby on the way are the most important thing! Take care, and all the best...
