Congratulations mermaid! How old are your other children?

Haven't done much flying this week with the kids being at home then me being at work in the evening. Don't know how you expect me to do anything in the LR pigpen when the kids are at home - as I put things away they just get more things out - and I can't see the floor to hoover it!

Hugs to various people - there seem to be quite a few who need them at the moment.

Hope your hubby is better soon Vanilla

  • Morning all. I seem to be getting more and more behind. Actually the reason for that is that I was out the house for 8 hours yesterday watching my friends spend money!! I was so pleased. I went to the trafford centre and only spen £40 and that was all on xmas pressies and lunch!!

I am in all day today so should be able to catch up a little.

I'm sorry I can't remember the personals so HUGS and HELLOS to those that need them. Oooh can remember one personal. Michelle - I am a teacher and my school were also in special measures at one point so know exactly how hard you are working. We are now "Good" - don't know what school the inspecters saw but it couldn't have been ours lol!!

Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

Clean oven if you didn't do it last week - done the grill:o

    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Attack that hotspot of grot in the kitchen.. the one you look at, groan and decide to leave until next week.. but it's been there for years!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Sort through the crockery; plates, cups, bowls etc.. sling out everything that has chips and cracks.. these places harbour bacteria!!! Wipe the cupboards out before replacing what you can keep.. then find out when the next crap boot sale is and see if you can get some cheap replacements should you need them!! Feel free to get all excited and do more!!
Twinkling Tuesday- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area

Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it! -paper work folder

    • Wipe the upstairs doors down.. both sides!!
    • Clean 2 radiators!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Understair cupboard.. or airing cupboard.. or pantry/larder!! Get in there and fling out everything you don't need/use/want .. vacuum it all out and out back only what you HAVE to put in there! .. I know these were done not long ago.. but I also know you have been hiding loads of junk in there

Wrecked Wednesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 3
    Clean a window or 2..

Lol, don't do what I did a week after my wedding - I signed for my shopping using my debit card with my new name, by signing my old name! Then I snatched it back and said to the checkout boy "I wrote the wrong name. Can I change it?" He looked bewildered but said yes, so I scribbled out my old name and wrote my new one. Not sure what that says about card security at that supermarket!

Not even showered yet and need to take DD to football soon. Will be back to post my list then!

    Hello
I'm finding it hard to type as I have three fleeces on and can't bend my arms! DH has taken three radiators off in his quest to decorate and it's made the house soooooo chilly. We're off for a walk to a local national trust place later so i'm hoping movement will warm me up!

I did the living room, hall and stairs yesterday when a friend came to visit so that's good news for me. I'm sorting out the curtains in out bedroom today. Did one set yesterday and doing the other set today. Very pleased with how good it looks. Amazing what you can do with a load of cerise pink voile! Sounds ghastly but I can promice it looks ok, honest!

Right, i'm off to see how many pairs of socks and gloves I can put on for this walk.

Speak soon and have a good day. Oh, nearly forgot, going away for a couple of days so might not be on until after the weekend xx

    Hi everyone,
Haven't read back over the thread so I hope everyone one is OK. A big hello and chin up to you all.

Well I've had a good shout at DD3 this morning, so I'm set up for the day!!!
Just doing general tidying and hoovering this week. I've got electricians, plasterers and blinds people coming in for the rest of the week, so will give it a good going over next week before we go.
Going to have another cup of tea and put washing in TD and do another load of washing.
    See you later...

lol I signed with the new name when using the old card and only realised when I was halfway out of the shop! The cashier watched me sign as well :rotfl:I kept walking but half expected to feel a hand on my shoulder with 'Would you follow me this way madam' :rotfl::rotfl:
