  • Thanks Lou - yes I agree it’s not long and I am almost tempted to do a chart with c.110 bricks in it to show its achievable. And mark one off for each day. That may also have the benefit of making it into a habit... and that way we keep on being much more frugal in 2020 as well. I may sort that chart out over the weekend and put it up in a prominent place in the kitchen!

    Have a great day x

    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
  • Thanks all.

Yes socking away £2.5k this month towards the tax bill was a tad grim but oh so absolutely necessary. Just hope all the other YNAB categories hold out. Hopefully will be OK if we wind our necks in and stick to budget for the rest of the month.

Have a great week all and thanks for popping by xx

All going in the right direction. I thought you both were salaried now so is the tax bill a hangover from the freelance days?

  • Hi SA

Yes... unfortunately. Used to take out more than I probably should have and so when it’s all reconciled when we effectively ceased trading I have a large bill to pay. But it’s fair - that’s the way it goes - just need to get that sorted and squirrelled away be end of the year and then it’s all systems go for the assault against the CCs.

Hope you’re OK SA- haven’t been on the diaries much recently - hope I can change that shortly!!

    Have a great week
  • You're doing fantastically well brizzle and I know it's a lot for the tax bill, at least you have it now in advance which has to be good news :T also, the extra you'll have after for the cc will see it gone in no time. You seem so focused :D

Any exercise squeezed in this week?

    Have a good one. Purps.
