Busy busy week but all surviving. Science exam today was hard for DD2 but no time to pine, it’s onto the next. OH working crazy hard but we have next week off so that’s something to look forward to.
Money wise waiting on being paid for solar panels.. thought it was due today but apparently not and also FL work. Am desperate to have it in hand and to update my spreadsheet!!! :rotfl: so wishing my life away effectively (emoji eye roll!)
Have a good rest of your week

Thanks jwil. Now know when FiT money is coming, but feeelance money is stil a mystery
. And it’s much needed.
We did a money shuffle this week and really hammered down the main card debt again, although having looked at the outgoings I may have to dip into the emergency fund if the freelance money doesn’t come through soon which will be a pain. But the main thing is that there is an unrelenting pressure downwards and whilst I am wistfully looking at short trips away to the Med this summer I know I need to be strong and resist :rotfl: I am wondering about booking ahead for next year tho when we can go at any time and are not tied to school holidays(and as a reward for reaching DF dom...)
In MSE news OH did some fine scavenging on the way back from a cheeky drink with me last night.... well it was Friday...he spied bike tyres someone had put out for the trash and nabbed them. On closer inspection in the daylight it looks like he’s saved himself £60. Now that’s a result. Paid for our evening out and then some
Looking forward to some time off. Lots of revision being done. But organic roast chicken and roasties this evening as that was the request of the exam girl...best get on and get it out of the oven
Have a lovely weekend all

Thanks greent. Yes it was a bit of a passing phase, have now stored it in a wishlist on a Tui account and that’s feeling ok for now
.
I may think hard about booking for next May/June tho - will speak to the DDs. Just realised that DD2 will be doing a language GCSE then so may be too tough to know when to book. Maybe early July is best instead. Don’t think the hotels are open in April.
A day off today so lots of chores. Bank account is looking barer than bare. OH is on strict instructions not to spend a single penny!!! But should be Ok as long as we don’t falter. And seriously this discipline of a depleted current account is such a great way of our changing our spending habits. As I have said before just wish we’d done it decades ago...
Have a good day all
