I also find your financial plans inspiring and hope to do similar once I'm DF :)

Have a good weekend, it's been lovely and sunny today!

    Hello all :)

Popping in during a lunch break (unusual but am grabbing one :)) to say that the money shuffle felt SO good...I even did a working column in the spreadsheet mid month so I could see it in all its glory and so exactly what impact the shuffle had today instead of waiting until the end of the month. We have put money against debt, into the EF, into the tax bill fund and paid off in full the monthly credit card bill which has built up over the last fortnight (I often pay on a CC for cash flow reasons and the loyalty points which we find useful for treats).

We have a big debt we are attacking the most, focussing the firepower if you like. Its on a 0% CC but not for much longer so we will start to pay interest on one tranche of borrowing..have hummed and hawed about moving to another deal but don't want to pay the fee plus think it may act as yet another incentive to go even harder and not fall behind on our plans. We are attacking this hard (each month we probably make a payment of 20% of our income) whilst also building up funds for tax bills, the EF and the S&S ISA. It is a big debt but I hope it'll be gone by September. The rest of them should really start to crumble then if we keep at it. income is increasing a bit too from this month which is all very helpful.

Brain is a bit foggy so will try and get some exercise in later and clear my head for some more work. We have defrosted some steak by accident (our freezer was heaving and DD2 thought it was sausages :rotfl: so steak and chips for tea..yum) Every cloud has a silver lining hey :)

Aaw thanks everyone. Yes life is good. Feel flat at times but looking forward to the 4 day break from the usual routine.

It’s good to talk PWPS..even when one of you usually resists talking about goals and plans...as my OH usually does...it also makes me feel less alone in terms of making the decisions on behalf of the family.

Slow start to the day I think...glorious sunshine. love it :D
